The guy character development is actually good. He start with asshole teenager to become proper man who take care his wife and children properly, and be grateful with happy life that their created together. We see him grown mentally from a scumbag who do not care with anybody to a person who give advice to his friend, get involved with things he hated but respected people around him enough to go with everything they wanted. And with his own way, he really loves his woman, he had so much option for a partner, but for once he never thought to cheat, lie and betrayed her. He actually very good person.
