Everything make sense now. In the first round, he has no time to grief, after Hohyun died he immediately regress and need to start all over again. And it happened more than 20 times. It definitely affects his mentality a lot. He either really like and care abt Hohyun or he just have the goal to protect Hohyun, but his unstable condition makes it like he ‘likes’ Hohyun, bcs he knows he will start over again if Hohyun dies.
