This is a favorite of mine. Always an enjoyable read. But every time I reread it I can't get over how annoying Akae's ex-colleague is! I hate her type. First she cries and tries to guilt him into dating her and like "giving it a try". Then demands a reason she deems acceptable. No one is obligated to date someone. Even if he doesn't have what you consider a "legitimate" reason. He doesn't even need to give a reason. It's not required! Someone could just say NOPE! and walk away. Would that suck for you? Yeah. But no one likes rejection, and a "special" reason isn't gonna make the sting of rejection hurt any less. And his reasoning for not wanting to get into any kind of relationship after all that drama he just went through is completely understandable. But no. She has to drag the rejection process on through all this bullshit. She's acting like she doesn't have to take any responsibility for her feelings. She wants him to give her all these reasons to give up or some shit. Lady, you confessed, he said no thanks, getting over it and dealing with rejection is ON YOU. How old is she that she's still acting like this? And a part of it is Akae's fault for not putting his foot down and going along with it because he was trying to let her down "easy". But letting someone down easy doesn't really help them in the long run. The sooner you reject her the sooner she'll move on. And I know that it was just a plot tool used to get the main couple together, and this is a fictional story, but GOD does she annoy me. Maybe I'm taking this too personally cuz I would be so pissed if someone did this to me while I was rejecting them. Like who the hell do you think you are?
Whew! Rant over

Yeah it was nice that she was aware enough to realize she was the third wheel and bowed out. And I'm glad the author didn't drag it out too long either. Some other manga's have spent 4-5 chapters using a third wheel character who conveniently and frustratingly always shows up at the worst times to ruin any mood. So thank god for that LOL

I'm worried that Xeno kingdom or whatever will try to take advantage of the four dragon's (and hak's) strength. Like this whole chapter was just them pretty much showing off their skill and everyone around them reacting with awe and maybe that will morph into greed for power. It's already cliche in stories like these for the strong good guys to be taken advantage of that I wouldn't be surprised if the mangaka uses that kind of plot for this story arc. And the dragon's are weaker to heal and stuff right now cuz they're far away from Kouka, so it's perfect timing for them to be coerced into something...

In chapter 2 when Hayashida is thinking about his past with Yumi and he drops his old phone with this totally depressed end of the world lifeless face, its a correlation to his relationship with Yumi, he is broken so he (attempts) to break his phone (a metaphor for Yumi) while also letting it go. Then you see him get a text from Shuuna and he smiles and clutches his new phone tenderly (a metaphor for his feelings for Shuuna). I just thought it was such a great and subtle way to contrast the two relationships as he's thinking about them without being in your face obvious about it. Such a great Mangaka!!! Love this couple (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
YES!. I love this type of seme. He didn't beat around the bush for 4 chapters like "do i like him? but he's a guy... blah blah blah" He went straight for a confession. (≧∀≦)
Thank you, he's very sensible and mature, I'm so damn impressed.
Right? So mature. It's so refreshing to not have an unsure childish seme (though those can be nice too). It will be even better when he shows a childish/possessive/spoiled side towards the uke because the difference will be so stark. Love that kind of character gap.
