The sweet tension and tease between them is so palpable my god it’s so hot
I've reread this after years bc it reminds me of wet sand and I remembered the majority siding with that man so I wondered if I had missed some parts of him being good to the mc and no, he's just vile, abusive, violent, toxic, manipulative, controlling and terrible. Bl fans are addicted to sick freaks breaking the mc's legs as an act of love somehow, I can't believe the readers pressured the author into writing an ending where the mc ends with his abuser, at least he doesn't in the main story.
Tj with his natural arrogance thinking Ian is free because he said so after ruining his life, crushing his soul and thriving off his guilt while Ian still has to bear the consequences of his manipulation and stupid gang life is so sick... Boasting his scar with nasty intents while Ian always hid his and never used the fact that he's chronically incapacitated or that his dream was totally ruined against anyone.. Truly opposite people with clashing values.

Hiding in the pillow bc you miss your little bf just to rut the mattress a second later over phone sex.. Can't get enough of the best couple in town
This said sometimes I wonder if the author has kids bc they're very knowledgeable lmao, even some parents don't know you shouldn't cover babies or their beds with anything.
The absolute contrast between that warm home where Ian is welcomed, accepted, complimented and fed homemade italian food by the Landis vs a luxury golden prison he'd detest in the city of his ruined dream ☠
The iconic balcony scene that started it all being recreated and making Ian wish he bought him flowers is so cute. It's heartwarming to see him trust and have his guard down around Jo especially after showing us how Ian being betrayed and having to kill his subordinate made him have suicidal ideations.
He never deserved to be failed by absolutely everyone in his life. He deserves to go on more company dinners, to live off clean money, to see his new friend's child grow and to only have to worry about Jo leaving for university. He doesn't deserve to be pulled in the dark again when he's trying to build a simple life the way he wants.
Being a coward is a big part of Skylar's character (which he is trying to break by confronting that guy who copied his notes for example) but it's not an excuse to bring others down with you when you're entirely responsible. This being shown in comparaison to Cirrus not hesitating a second to take the blame is sad. Cirrus shouldn't have to self sacrifice (especially his education) because this isn't healthy. Skylar shouldn't avoid the problems he created out of fear and feel guilty only when he learns that there were consequences..
It's hard to see how these two are anything but *not* made for each other when the authors keeps showing how everything about them contradicts in such unhealthy, unworking ways.
The way everyone was defending her by making up some closeted lesbian lore when she is, as expected, just a plain homophobe ?? This is your cue to stop defending prejudiced behaviors no matter by whom, no matter the upbringing and uncalled suspicion of queerness. Ignorance hurts actual queer people and that fact is more important than giving homophobes the benefits of the doubt!
I cannot look at characters who punch or slap Cirrus in the face knowing damn well he's a victim of domestic abuse the same at all
Anyone who wants Ian back in this place and this state must detest him. The author couldn't make it more explanatory— this is hell on earth and he's barely surviving while completely losing himself, having his dream shattered, his life endangered, his spirit destroyed... He deserves peace now, no one can blame him for seeking it.

Sorry for the rant but :
I knew this fight (which happened right after Skylar cut his hair, meaning his old –violent, twisted– self was back) would've been an issue from the second it happened, even Cirrus called him out for his anger issues right after. Everyone cheered Skylar beating Cirrus' old bully up as if it was brave and protective– girl no?? Now you got Skylar lying to save his ass and throwing Cirrus under the bus, which is very ironic because didn't he break up with him... over a lie? Like okay they're in bad terms, but Cirrus is still protecting him while he does that.
This said, I'm so glad he's leaving. His entourage in sk is just not good for him, not with how much they misunderstand him. I hope he'll be able to emotionally distance himself from these people and have time to grow healthily, it would be lovely to see him making trustful friends in the us with who he could be himself. Because it's not lost on me how he basically came out to Ri-in and she didn't care for a second because of her anger. Maybe in the US he could find open-minded people if Paskim plays with the cultural differences, especially if he starts college where there would be queer adults, but something tells me it won't happen in a story like litc lol.
So unlike many I hope to God Skylar doesn't run for him in the airport. He hasn't changed or grew at all during the season, and it would keep Cirrus from saving himself.
It's Cirrus' time to be selfish. It's his time to choose himself. This would be the only acceptable good ending for him to me. Everyone else is sk can get lost at this point, I don't care anymore.
It's also funny how people argued with me on this very site when I said these two are the opposite of made for each other as they are now, when it's been obvious for most of the story...
And I'll need to see how it completely ends to judge these last writing choices because they're truly something... Especially characters wise. But I'm glad I knew it'd mostly all happen because I loved Cirrus and have always always sided with him. I don't understand how people could read Cirrus getting hit and bruised by Skylar after reading all the abuse he already went through and still cheer for them, sorry. There's a huge violence problem in litc and I'm glad Cirrus is getting away at least, because there's only so much verbal and physical abuse I can see him go through endlessly let alone by his lover.
Cirrus lies: he gets broken up and told he's incapable of love bc his mother is dead, his father hates him, is a victim of csa and domestic abuse
Cirrus is honest : he ends up with a friendship breakup this time and gets hit in the face
Cirrus apologizes, communicates and tries to change for a whole season : he's still a manipulator anyway and he'll pay for it
This poor boy can't do anything right for people lmao. Kudos for Chan-il for being the only one never assaulting Cirrus physically even though he was absolutely pissed at him.
This manwha is a gem omg. Dowon has to be the best bl character to ever exist on top of being the funniest, and him and Beom make a wholesome couple, they're so precious to me.
