Any chance this Gene guy is the brother that left in the other manga, Rumpspringa no Joukei? There's this man who left the community and made Theo's friend really sad. Danny, I think his name was... and he had an aversion towards the gay. Also the flashback happened in the 70s which ties in with the last manga where it was set in the 80s years after the brother left for good. They even mentioned the Vietnam war where Oz's dad fought in. Am I reading too much into this???? The fact that it's about the Amish again makes me wonder!

The double standards in these mangas, I swear. Whenever a BL manga has a teacher x student, people start calling the other a pedophile yet no one ever says anything in shoujo.
