I can't believe Mia screamed that out loud in front of the crowd lol the rejection would be very embarrassing. I can see this going two ways: One, He refuses blatantly or deflects it by choosing the Empress. Two, the empress urges him to dance with Mia but it's clear he's uncomfortable with it and it spreads rumors. Some rogue elements could happen though, like someone else stepping in.
Okay, for a minute I was really confused because I thought this was the "Hitori to Hitori no 3650 nichi" manga that was about the uke who rejected his friend and was self-destructive by sleeping with other men. But then I remembered this was about the nice childhood friend. There's been quite a number of mangas with similar premises lately!
I know some people aren't into the whole fast ball but like.. normally I'm into slow burns but this story sorta works for me? It's incredibly refreshing to see two boys in BL that aren't all like "we're both men!"/"isn't this strange"?? Instead of skirting around the issue of sex for 5 chapters OR forcing the other in the first couple of pages of ch1, they're so chill. This kind of relaxing, casual sex is pretty damn nice. They seem mutually attracted to each other in a 'yeah you're cute! wanna see where this goes?' way. Doesn't have to be heavy like "We need to be deeply in love with each other before we start stripping".
I could be wrong but... my guess is that Keiichi had the time to reflect on his relationship with his childhood friend during his years away from each other. He says he was lonely when they were apart. I have a feeling that the person he was talking about that he “found out he likes during university” might actually be Yukito. As for Keiichi, I personally think he was also wronged considering that the friend who he thought was like his little brother suddenly lashed out to his high school girlfriend. That’s pretty darn rude if you think about it. But even after all that, he was still kind enough to apologise to Yukito. This shows that he still greatly cares about Yuki regardless of the years they spent apart.
Although, I’m not saying Keiichi’s not entirely at fault; I mean he could’ve tried to rebuild their relationship but I guess it’s easier said than done. Keiichi needed time to sort out his feelings while Yukito needed time away so the pain of unrequited love would hurt less.
This entire theory would crumble if Yukito ends up with a sex friend lol.
Maybe they’ll be mature individuals who’ll talk things out and get together without any complications after spending some time away from each other, and the drama won’t go on for 10 more chapters? Maybe?
I hope so too! I really don’t want 10 more chapters of unnecessary drama.
