i already watched this as an anime but not as a manga- Is this the same as the anime or is this updates after the end?
Read this from the beginning. The anime completely changes the timeline of events and on top of that after like episode 20 it follows it's own story line none of which is canon. I wouldn't compare the anime to the manga in any way. They are completely different. The manga is a lot better though so if you are going to read it read it from the start.
