Hey y’all peeps! Anyone remember the title of the manga: it is a bunch of connected short stories revolving around a mystical river pilgrimage. A young girl has to walk the length of the dried river alone and in special shoes and it’ll spring forth a stream back along her path and saves her village. There’s several story lines but it all involves different villages in different straights and the characters who undertake the ritual. Sometimes it was of the village at the pilgrimage site too. It was super beautiful and pretty quiet and I can’t find it on my list! :-)
It’s similar feel to Kiss me, liar ie assistant and boss relationship. Assistant uke has worked for family since a child, now works under current boss who is looked down upon by his father or head company owner. The boss’s brother(?) I think is loved by the company head but is actually super evil and sadistic and had basically groomed and abused uke since childhood. Uke got away from him but seme/boss and company head don’t know about the previous stuff the evil brother (or cousin?) has done. Evil guy comes back and try’s to prey on uke again by pretending to lure a sweet coworker to his room and forces uke to come to “rescue” him. Uke is getting beat up/about to be assaulted by a red headed friend of asshole seme who’s in the room too when the ml seme shows up and saves him. Idk what happens from there, but I want to re-read! It’s pretty classic tropes but the Uke is pretty tough and bada** and usually handles his own problems and ml seme turns out to be pretty sweet even though people think he’s horrible and cold. I think they were both about to take on the evil seme and confront the company head when I stopped reading. Can anyone figure out title from this?!

I’m glad it came to a close cuz it was starting to run of the rails a bit, but LMAO all the poor ML’s. She’s an independent girlie. (≧∀≦). Glad it ended that way tbh. There wouldn’t be time to make a romance arc and it’s kind of funny.
