BEUHHHHHHHH I THOUGHT THE KID WAS IN COLLEGE HES IN HIGH SCHOOL????? I will be tagging all stories like this with “underage” and “cradle snatcher” from on now
They just said "high schooler" not what year or age he is. And if anythin' he's probably a senior which means he's more than likely 18+ and seein' as the seme said he was 12 years younger than him, and the seme is 32, that means the uke is 20. He's probably a leap year kid or somethin' which is why he's older than most seniors.
I mean, I was 19 when I graduated but that was due to bein' sickly and havin' to take an extra year back in the 1st grade.
Stop clutchin' ya pearls.
Okay I really have trouble reading the novel for this every single time I try I can only read like one chapter and my speed is slower than the manga update anyone wanna give me a spoiler to motivate me? Anything that’s crazy and really needs context but leave the context out of the spoiler
How. The novel is so good but since you asked, the crown Prince has a secret and after Cale will know about it their friendship will develop its so funny and witty, plus there is backstory of many things like Raon (the dragon) 's parents or that of the enemy, choi han's, and especially Cale's himself its a huge spoiler so I won't tell but his past life isn't normal either. And there will be action! Around 100+ chapters there will be wars and battles and Cale will be an army general Istg I was so hyped reading those parts. Plus he gains more and more ancient powers so he becomes pretty strong and people call him and his crew heroes of the Kingdom. There are some sad moments too Because despite thinking the opposite Cale is a tsundere he loves his big family. And many other things keep reading! It gets better as you go, and every little thing can become something important down the lane, the author is good at foreshadowing without the reader feeling its being forced.
Don’t you dare give in Jooin! He’s trying to manipulate Jooin into coming back. He literally could have confessed at any other time or told Jooin about the childhood memories, but he didn’t. Jooin is mad because of the way he treats their relationship. Just because he likes him won’t solve the problem ( ̄へ ̄)
Seeing y’all justifying grooming in the comments is really just...
Ikr? Like I don’t give a fuck I still think it’s weird ( ⁰▿⁰ )
They’re literally bending over backwards to defend it ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
The worst people are the ones saying that oh it’s just fictional. Why are you defending a fictional character so hard???
Well to be fair we can still enjoy reading a story and be aware it is a grooming and be against it. The two are not dissociated. Like reading the "Silence of the Lamb" or watching "Hannibal". We all know cannibalism is bad, and reading the story doesn't mean we approve it, even if we find it enjoyable and empathy sometimes with Lecter, despite him being a criminal.
It is the wonder and great part about fiction.
The novel "Lolita" is a perfect example of that. Though it is obviously wrong what is going on, the novel is made to make us discuss of how twisted the mind of a groomer and pedophile is to justify their action. It isn't written so that we agree with them, but to realize how their reality is shaped in their mind. And it is a fucked up story, but I still enjoy it to death, especially because it gives a realistic portrait of such situations and allow us to deconstruct how grooming work form the perpetrator point of view.
It is good that the story make us uncomfortable. It means we are aware of what is going on. As long as we have a healthy conversation about it afterward.
Personally, I found it cute on the first page of the first chapter, until arrived the grooming part. After that it was more or less the generic cliché story, with questionable behavior and not much plot twist. But I am still happy I had read it. So I can compare it with other work and also with human behavior. It wasn't a great story, nothing to break a leg over.
Being offended isn't bad, and liking it isn't bad either, as long as we all understand why we like it or not. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Sexual grooming is a preparatory process in which a perpetrator gradually gains a person's or organization's trust with the intent to be sexually abusive. The victim is usually a child, teen, or vulnerable adult.
So WRONG there wasn't any grooming at all.
Key word is PROCESS...
Yeah I’m not saying people can’t enjoy, but the fact that a lot of people don’t find anything at all wrong with it is a little concerning
*Enjoy it
The young man gave HIS consent... Where's the problem? I could see if there was some coercion but it wasn't. He wasn't raped nor was he "groomed." So again, where's the problem?
Grooming is towards a child.
An 18 year old is not a child in anyway.
My sentiments exactly.
Google grooming and predatory behaviour please instead of learning from Twitter. And uke is 20 bye
bruhhhhhhhhh what’s not clicking here??? This guy is in high school, and he met a man in his thirties, a full grown adult, who validated him and gave him attention when he wanted it. Of course when he confesses he’s going to be flattered and accept. It doesn’t matter that the Google definition of grooming says they have to be “sexually or financially abusive” for it to be grooming. This kid was feeling lonely and this mans took advantage of it and now they’re in a relationship. There might not be anything explicitly wrong rn but that doesn’t mean the start of their relationship isn’t sketchy. Y’all are all like oh what’s the problem. What type of man in his thirties casually hangs out with a high schooler? He’s literally a stranger TOO
So you admit it's sketchy but not enough to be classified as grooming? Ok legal adulthood age in most countries is 18 so "kid" can make his own choices. He wasn't forced to do anything, was not isolated from others, wasn't manipulated to work for seme, wasn't forced to perform sexual acts, and waited until he graduated. Just because you don't agree on the flow how a relationship between two adults starts, doesn't mean you can simply throw out terms and "call out" others. But sure we are the problematic ones.
The aithor never said uke's age... Did you do the math? He wasn't a kid to begin with.
