I feel like they've been raising San's death flag for a while now that I'm starting to get nervous. But I hope the author doesn't do this.
I have several theories on what will happen.
1. San will indeed be reincarnated and be reborn as a human once again. But about Eunjae, I think either he will accept the fact that he'll never see San again or maybe, he will be a reaper or a Goblin. Cause I'm pretty sure Eunjae's already involved too deeply here. It wouldn't make sense if something supernatural won't happen or change him. Cause he might not have the same prowess as San, but he CAN see Goblins with their Shadow Masks on, so that tells that he has some kind of potential at least. Anyway he may ask Geumsun to make him stop aging until he meets San one day again. No matter how long it takes. However, San will surely have no memories of Eunjae and now its Eunjae's turn to make San fall in love with him OR Eunjae could secretly hold San's memories in crystal form or whatever.
2. As the title says, Fate. San meeting Eunjae is Fate. Even San says so, so them meeting will probably have an impact to San's Fate. I dunno how but maybe San will survive and broke off from his role as a bait for Hwan and find another way to defeat him without sacrificing San. Honestly I don't think this will have a bad ending at all. Because San and Eunjae's destined meeting seems to be about overcoming struggles and defying their destiny. San and Eunjae having each other helped them overcome each other's depression, especially Eunjae whom San saved from the abyss he was in. And San defying destiny by also saving Eunjae from his death that was already in the Death Records. Surely San will have the power to change whatever Yama is scheming about him against Hwan, and live a normal life with Eunjae.
3. San and Eunjae will be reincarnated and meet in another lifetime. With everything messed up and the only good thing they have is each other, i'm pretty sure they would want to have a more normal circumstances. Since San's existence is messy and Eunjae's already recorded as dead in the Death Records (not sure if they can revise this). So at the end, maybe they will be reincarnated by Geumsun, and meet again, since these two are more or less Soulmates now, Fate will definitely make this two meet again.
For now these are the outcomes I can come up with considering what is happening in the manhwa right now. I'm not saying it could be exactly either from my theories but maybe either one of them will be close to the real ending. What do you guys think? Let me know your thoughts!
