I was reading this a while back, and I really just loooved Heil. More than that, I loved him with River, and more than THAT I did not like Kahol. But he's the one on the cover art with River, so I had no hope for Heil being the love interest. I left because I've been through this with Unripened Expression, and honestly I couldn't take the abusive, one-sided relationship between River and Kahol. I ended up back here on a whim, and if the comments are to be believed, it happens??? River ends up with Heil??? Don't lie to me, comments!! Was the cover art a lie? Should I continue reading where I left off?
I stepped away from this when there were a few chapters left, because I got hold of some spoilers about how it all ended and I was gutted for Junseo :( I was too attached to read it, but now I have returned to finish what I started! It can't be that bad right?
Update: It was...Well. Listen Karam is great, but I did not like how the author handled Junseo. After all they went through, after all the support he offered, things didn't even end with a powerful friendship. He didn't have to find another romantic interest, but things needed to end with him still having his friend and on the mend regarding his feelings!! I'm so upset for him, in some ways it was worse than I expected honestly.
Is anyone else worried about that other cute little assistant? It's been hinted (Suha crying and hiding) that Redhead's past with Suha was of a predatory nature. Once Suha started working for him, it's likely he took advantage of that power and Suha's crush, and it clearly ended badly. So this cute little assistant who works for redhead now....I'm legit worried.
So what I'm getting off this chapter is that redhead took advantage of Suha's young crush on him, took his virginity, likely made it a not-too-fun experience if it led to Suha hiding in a blanket crying. Then probably treated him like a possession in their 'relationship', used him for sex, which may be why Suha sleeps around so much. After getting out of the relationship with redhead (running away it seems since he's been dodging him as best he can), either he got used to a lot of sex so that's what he's after, or he associates sex with affection, or I think most likely he feels like that's all he's good for since redhead treated him that way.
So in conclusion: we kill redhead, yes? (⊙…⊙ )
When I read the summary about a woman-lover who falls for his cousin who he thought was a girl, I really thought this story would be one of those cliches riddled with ISSUES, like not just consent stuff but all the other controversial things. I am ridiculously and pleasantly surprised with the way everything's been handled so far! It's that middle ground between believable and entertaining. The characters are likeable and lots of funny moments too, really enjoying this one!
My god, what an asshole that doc is. Tbh, if we'd seen them hooking up and all the steps before Dojun woke up, I might not feel that uncomfortable with this chapter. But we know as much as Dojun does and when he woke up naked I felt as confused and horrified as him. He was drunk af and doc obviously knows he took advantage of him, ok fine whatever, but to then go around and try to make Dojun feel at fault wtf doc? I thought you were the blunt, up-front sort, who'd chase after Dojun with annoying persistence, what's this emotional manipulation BS?
Maybe it's because we were shown the 'future' in the beginning, but the story feels so slow. We're playing catch-up to a scene from a year ago (anyone even remember the AC at this point?) and even though I like the story, the pacing feels off XD Such a shame, I really hope for some progression soon.
Forgot abt it long ago
haha when it swings back around I genuinely wonder how many people will remember it.
Bet most be like "whats the deal abt the ac?"
