Warning: A sorta long, rambly review!

Man, I always reread this manhua, especially the first arc, when I want something cute and fluffy, and simple to read with not too much angst, second hand embarrassment, or drama. I definitely recommend it as someone's intro to shounen ai and yaoi (especially as it gradually eases you into the 18+ scenes with season 3.)

Idk why but the high school arc is my favorite, I wish it was a liiiittle longer. Like, not dragged on, but a few more episodes, but I think it wrapped up nicely and laid a great foundation for what's to come. I also wished some arcs were a liiittle shorter, but in hindsight after reading it all it was worth it! It probably would've been too fast otherwise.

Also the ART! It is always aesthetically pleasing. The backgrounds shaded in shades of blue while the characters are more vibrant (but still blend well) is muah! To be honest though, I liked season 1's art the most, then noticed the faces got kinda "squished" and baby-faced during the course of the s2 college/s3 arcs (I still like it though! But they looked younger than their high school selves...), but omg now it just came through for season 4 and is like season 1 but even more amazing!

For writing, it's really good. But I think people who like shorter 5-chapter yaoi may get a lil burnt out. I think I got burnt out binge reading the first 2 seasons and like half of 3 while it kept updating, and sometimes I felt like "they explored everything with this couple, what's more to add?", but then something comes and makes it interesting again. I like watching them grow up together over the seasons. I've always had an interest in manga and manhua that follows characters aging and going through more and doesn't just stop at a happy ending (or never stops and the characters are static...). From slice of life like Azumanga Daioh showing the main girls growing up, to stories like Odd Girl Out and Watamote- if I can watch them grow and learn I eat it up!

Also Seeing the evolution of haebom and his life is amazing.

10/10 would recommend.

Also, little part of me was hoping that Jia's college makeover scene for Haebom happened in high school when injae proposed to set him up with girls so he could see how it felt to be a lil popular and see Tae's reaction lol.

From the first few chapters, I thought this was gonna be a light hearted and funny slice of life about being reincarnated as an airheaded idol's child, and all the comedy and trickiness of keeping them secret. I knew it'd get dark, but only in a "poking fun at the industry" way and lightly exposing/covering the dark stuff that happens out in the open.

SPOILERS BELOW!:

Nnnnope, it went full dark. Like wow. They literally KILLED the cover girl (Ai) within the first few volumes. And her story was pretty sad. And then onwards it kept hitting heavy with the reality of the entertainment industry. What the heck. I only skimmed some chapters because it's quite a lot, but wow did it get dark or depressing.

I honestly want an author to make a "Reincarnated as my favorite idol's kid" manga that's lighthearted and funny so I can read it after reading this (Because I still love this). Come on, if we can have 100+ reincarnated as a duke/king's/prince's daughter, we can have a cute and happy idol one dammit ;_;

I'm only on chapter 4, but there's a game on the app store similar to this called "Memories: Remember Me". It's about a soldier/knight who finds a young girl and raises her for 8 years, and it's nearly the same premise like nurturing her and lowering her stress, doing quests, and with making her doing odd jobs/go to school to raise her skill and make money. It's pretty cute and and casual and this comic made me remember it.

Anyway, I hope this is MC x Butler, but it's so cute I don't care if he doesn't get with anyone, as long as I can keep seeing cute scenes of Mir growing up lol.

And as someone who loves "what ifs", I wonder what would've happened if the game let him choose more than one light at the start because it's a prototype. It'd be funny watching him juggle like 5 kids just because their light came to him while quests keep popping up for each and every one of them.

I feel like lemon lemonfairy is lowkey helping Sana with his criticism and writing advice. Either that or he's legitimately a jerk.

Also Sana annoys me and his introduction chapters made me cringe for Hooni too much to be normal, but his reaction was golden and I legit Hope's he skyrockets in popularity from writing a yaoi or something.

i think sana is just villainizing him in his head. lemonfairy was just giving advice

I'm the type of person who sees bad reviews and suddenly needs to check out the story, even if it wastes my time, because what could prompt reviews so bad? (I usually get disappointed when it's a yaoi and the content matches the bad reviews and I want to demand my time back from the author(s)).

ANYWAY, so I checked out chapters 1-3 and honestly the plot is interesting. Not my exact cup of tea, but it has enough potential to be right up my alley if brewed right. I might read more. The art to me isn't THAT bad because I've probably been desensitized from reading good or okay stories with bad/mediocre art on Webtoon, and I read ONE's mob psycho and one punch man and his art wasn't so phenomenal either (improved a lot over time though!)

If Author ever sees this, I'd say keep going. Maybe practice a little before starting chapters, but hey it's up to you, and maybe over time the art will get much better. I know my art was trash and cringey 2 years ago compared to now, so anyone can improve!(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
