Her silly little face!
I saw bits and pieces of the side story on Instagram. I hope it gets translated and uploaded. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
It's so hard to read with these awful translation! Do I just drop it or does it get any better? (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Why are his pants like that? It's too low compared to his torso. lol
"I think someone is staring." *Woman standing a few feet away blatantly glaring in your direction*
The conversations were very well thought out and believable. It's one of the more grounded stories I've read that has really kept me interest and emotionally invested while reading. I'm glad I read it when it's completed, because I don't think I would be able to follow the story otherwise. Overall, a really good read. Especially when you're tired of over-the-top characters, fast paced story, and mind-numbingly dumb logic to move the plot forward.
Had to go to different websites to read because some of the chapters were missing panels or just jumbled nearing the end. Didn't want to ruin the experience for myself. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
**Spoilers??**
I know Woo Hyung is the very center of this story, but I truly wish there was more depth and a conclusion to Boguk's trauma and Sujo's family situation at the end.
I find it crazy how Boguk, Sujo, Noa, and Noyeol are all obsessed over him in different ways. Trying to love, help, fix, and own him.
It was tough seeing him destroy himself because of how much of a people pleaser his is and seeing how much harder he falls into depression each time he says he's fine, like he's gaslighting himself. In a way, it's dumb, but understandable to me and it's hard to get out of that mindset.
Also, Boguk saying Hyung is asexual caught me off guard. That just leaves me with more questions. Was sex just an escape? Was it to try and please the other party? Even before the incident? Was he ever interested in it? He did say that he could get it up whenever he felt like it. I never noticed until Boguk said it.
Pepe? Is that you??
Pepe? Is that you??
Who holds scissors or pliers or grabbers like that??
This is just cute. haha
What terrible pacing... But also, the characters are so unlikable?? The son is a delusional, manipulative horn dog and the dad doesn't even have a solid personalty yet. He's very much a doormat and is at the whim of the son. The story went from 0 to 10 real quick. I can see where the author is getting at. The premises will spark interest but this execution is just not it...
***Spoiler***
I think the most uncomfortable thing is the alpha keeps calling him dad and wanting to have a baby with him. This dude planned his rut around a typhoon to be trapped at his ex step-dad's place so they could get horny and preggers! In the first 4 chapters no less!! But, like, the dad is STILL letting him stay over and fuck him after all that?? Where's the logic in that? *RAAAAGEE* (╯•︿•)╯╧╧
Anything where the seme have some serious honkers? A real set of badonkers. Packin some dobonhonkeros. Massive dohoonkabhankoloos. Big ol' tonhongerekoogers. Humongous hungolomghononoloughongous.
Anyone have suggestions for wholesome manga where the uke is really nice, shy, and a little panicky/flustered? Kind of like this one?
https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/dear_ear/
Who's the artist for vol 2? I can't seem to find them or any of their other works. :'(
The uke is so cute. Ahhh. Very wholesome at the end. The mangaka has quite the saucy collection.
It was a nice read and had an interesting plot. Though the beginning was a bit confusing to me, but maybe that's because of the translation. Good art and really well drawn hands (maybe I'm just saying that because the last manhwa I read had poorly drawn hands haha). I really liked Rosen's character development.
Spoiler??
I found that Gregory (the mean red headed, ponytail guy) just existed to be hated. Didn't have much structure as a character or much of a backstory to him. All we know is that he ran away at the start of the war and came back after it ended for the glory and trying to gain rank? But he's just a general a**hole.
Hindley, on the other hand, portrayed the antagonist very well. Maybe a little generic as the wife beater and the abusive father, but I sure did hate him.
I'm glad Rosen and Ian finally ended up together in the side stories. Because if it just ended after she escaped my heart couldn't take it.
Would have loved to see some side stories about the island of Walprgis/Witch's island and how Rosen and Emily were finally reunited. Seems interesting. Maybe it wasn't mentioned in detail in the novel?
