I dislike MIchiru i think he is selfish and self centered and mean to his brother. He is also unfair in his treatment toward him. i really enjoyed the story line and i an anticipating the rest but i really do not like Michiru.

im sorry but i am of a different view. Micehru took care of him for 10 years while he was blind. Plus she begged for the eyes for his surgery. he was a bastard to her.
Miharu's love is very humane, she spent great efforts on Kai so it's natural she expect something in return, in this case for Kai to love her back. But if I am Miharu, I wish I have bigger heart and can love unconditionally wishing happiness for the person that I love even if I have to let that person go. Also if I'm a nurse I would want to give it all taking care of the patients without expecting them to fall in love with me.
Too bad she was in a Yaoi Manga. The odds were against her from the very start. Such devotion though. I respect that.

Micharu's(sp) love was hardly pure IMO. She didn't love Kai, she loved what she had made him into. Had her love been true and pure, she would not have cared about the rumors (or spread them herself, which is what I think happened) and would have wanted Kai to be happy. Even her request for the cornea transplant was selfish. She hardly considered Dr. Hisaki's feelings about having to see his dead lovers eyes in the face of another man. She was a selfish, two-faced child. Showing all "sweetness and light" to Kai and his family and throwing a two year old's "that's my toy, give it back" temper tantrum to Dr. Hisaki. People are not things, they can't be taken or given. They choose for themselves, and Kai made his choice. IMHO
He ended it quite clearly. But she still went selfishly after him. That was her own doing. And she didn't even go after him out of love but because people were gossiping about her failed relationship. And like @Mameiha said, I don't think she actually loved him but the idea of him. It was all very romantic him falling for the nurse who always took care of him. She even styled him to her idea of her perfect man when in reality that wasn't him (he says so when we see his new appearance). I think she refused to let go of that idea.
everything about this story line i loved from the main characters to the side characters to the jokes it was all so great. completely enjoyed it
