Could be because the uke is chubby.
At least that's the experience I've made. Whenever I read a BL story with a character who has an unusual design for a yaoi character (= old character who actually looks his age or chubby) there are either little to no sex scenes in it or the character loses weight before the smut starts.
Even in this chapter the main focus was the seme's body while the uke's body was mostly covered by something.
I hope the author is just testing out how far she can go without losing readers and we'll actually get a proper sex scenes between them but I won't be surprised if that never happens.
Yeah, it's a shame. I was surprised to see a chub for once, and a little disappointed that it was only because that happens to reeeeallly be the gangster's type, but I was excited nonetheless.
Not that I think that the sex scenes are the most important, but compared to the attention the others get, this is somewhat disappointing.
