Wait I don't get it why we need place holders can't bot accounts be banned ?
I’m not sure, but I remember someone saying in the comments ( i don't remember where prob in another webtoon) that placeholders are used to stop bots from reuploading the same chapters or bad translations. They act as a way to prevent duplicate content or low-quality versions from showing up, helping keep the work original and good quality.
They got rid of the report button for chapters a few years ago. So the bot uploaded chapters usually stay and its just more of a hassle than the place holders. Usually its poorly uploaded chapters or literally just a "chapter" saying to go somewhere else
Cuz the website itself is “the bot”. Mangago is an aggregator site. It takes stories/chapters from other websites and puts them here when no one is uploading them. Placeholders make it assume that the chapter’s already been uploaded.
