one star for the art and another for his students who decided to stay by his side in the end and the other 3 stars are lost in unnecessary rape and storyline :/
it's all so annoying like lister's ofc a disgusting piece of shit, he goes like i AbUsE yOu BecAuSe i LiKe YoU fuck off he acts like he owns him wtf and most annoying is dame lysbet (?) like you know sylhan is getting b abused, it's not like it happened once, it keeps happening, you see the visible marks of it, and what do you do? scold lister for a second and be done with it. like if you want to take care of sylhan, either be sincere about it or just don't bother at all. plus i don't understand because sylhan is supposed to be someone of high position before he lost his memories right? both of them (lister and lysbet) are like okay why don't you stay as an implicit servant lister gets to abuse you, and lysbet would act to care for you once in a while and that's all. like sylhan would be fine on his own away from you both mfs
this shows how a good storyline doesn't need problematic elements to be good and loved by everyone huhuhu there isn't anything hugely dramatic going on in the plot but it's wonderful in its own way, it brings me so much peace uwu it's so ordinarily beautiful ughhh :"<

i sort of understand the change in art because like suddenly imagine you're given a work that is already more than halfway to the end, and the new artist haven't even connected to the characters. they haven't drawn benjamin, isaac and felix from their beginning, and thus, it's natural to not feel anything for them. if i were to given a work which is almost completed, to draw just the ending, ofc i would feel dissociated from it no matter how much i read the work. it's such a shame that this wonderful story had to see an end like this. but at the same time im so glad the old artist has been removed and punished. well, id be speedreading the ending since, truly, the art doesn't sit right with me, but I'll pick up the novel! <3

at first i thought the order of receiving info was a little off, but later now, after reading through it all, i think it was intentional. it gave a sense of vagueness, instability (like their relationship) and you always seem to be on the edge, as if something's going to happen rn and you'd have no idea what it is. i think that's what that point is, how several points were being repeated over and over again, and it was only late in the story that we realised why everything turned out the way it did. by this time we've already familiarised ourselves with the characters, and at this moment, receiving such a tragic background would only make the emotions more intense aaaaaaa i loved how it went :") i just wished that the author would've worked more on the latter part of the story as intricately as they laid out the plot. while the backstory seems tedious, their warming relationship, seemed a little less weighty in front of that. ALSO HOW I WISH WE COULD SEE HOW THE MARKS TURNED OUT TO BE AAAAAAAAAA

so uh jitae's mom was killed by suryeon the absolutely disgusting woman who's tailing jian (?) she's in some way related to go hajoon this bitch the yellow haired shit face anyway but apparently jitae was kidnapped by mi-eum's dad who was going to murder jitae but mi-eum took the hit, then there was an accident (idk if it's the same one) but mi-eum lost his nemories with jitae and then later jitae took him in because apparently mi-eum's dad (another bitch) borrowed money which mi-eum was to repay back, so ofc the same trope is, jian sent mi eum to jitae to pay off his debt, the sexual relation begins and then no one would communicate with each other and just hurt alone RAAAHHHH IM SO ANNOYED
i understand minjun's actions 10 years ago, when he ran away, i understand his anxiousness, his insecurities. but what i don't understand is how he acts 10 years later, AFTER knowing the truth. it's like he's blaming it all on jinhwan idk but after he came to know that he had been overthinking and misunderstood the situation, he never apologised for running away. just as jinhwan kept quiet about his feelings, minjun did too. just as he felt betrayed, didn't jinhwan feel betrayed too? to have someone who seemed to like you so much, and the next day they just disappear. it's a feeling that they both shared. it's strange how it is only jinhwan who has to make up to him or smth. honestly it was really realistic in the beginning but i just couldn't seem to connect minjun of present time with the minjun of 10 years ago. well, maybe it's just me. the art is good though, and i hope they communicate and try to understand each other more in the future~
i will take a break from this and come back after a good 10+ chapters i can't take this pain omg
