Got really excited butttt... well I don't hate it but I can't love it.
Sensei written one of my all time faves (puchitto hajiketa), which I read for the first time when I was around 14, and now I'm 21 and still in love with it. And honestly I have to say this one just pales in comparision.
The characters had no real connections, the romance was flat, the leads could use more buildup... I just feel like from this author, there could be way better. Especially when the story tries to approach something so complex.
Usually this author gets away with single note characters really easily, and I have no problem with that, I don't need deep meaning wherever I look - but here it just didn't work. The theme of coming out, being alone in the world and the need to establish connections is way bigger. Also usually I can actually feel the romance in her stories, here there was the lacking of passion, motive, background, depht and connection that prevented the characters from establishing a good relationship.
Their stories are usually hit or miss for me, but I never read s u c h a miss from them. Kind of dissapointed.
Well, I hope their next work is going to be stronger and better ^^

it's not bad, but not really good. A fun read overall, but there was a lack of characters and build up that I couldn't ignore. The relationship between the characters was too quick felt unnatural, making it feel like Junseok is still in love in the past version of Jeahyun and Jeahun is just in love with Junseok for his voice. The story did try to give us a different view about loving the personality of a person, but lacked the depth to make it work.
Still not an awful read, but one that had waaaaaay more potential.

Reading this after a while, I looked at the first page, and immidiatly knew that the stairs kiss is here. And honestly I was so excited when the plot approached there. One of the best yaoi kisses ever (maybe even the best kiss i've ever read in comics form). The couple isn't iconic or something but that kiss sure is. It's so so sooooo good. And generally this is a great story and the characters are great. I would've loved for more from Toujou cause I feel like his prespective might be very interesting and show us more of Sakisaka, but I'm pleased as is.
Just had to put this out there (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

I understand why people hate this
But again
No character is excused for his or her wrong doing
The story doesn't try to pretend ML isn't a totall asshole. Nor our girl Ingrid which is a sly bitch and I love her for it.
I miss that in so many other stories but when we get here and the characters are actually held accountable people hate on them since it's not romanticised or cute

Spoilers from now on I guess? Not something big tho
I'm kind of bummed out but whatever I love this, the leads are great. I love Regan, it's very clear for me that he is not in his right mind and suffered a great deal, can't wait to get more into his backstory. He is not just a shitty badboy. Yes he is one, but not all that. Also being a drug addict? A great touch for his character.
He didn't want to be in this position, so I actually think this is the way of the outhor to say "fuck you" to Ingrid, since althought she tried making things right, she can't change what she already did to Regan and now she's paying for that. And I'm interested what Regan will stumble upon once he'll make amends and change, I'm wondering what's his karma. Can't wait to find out.

Hmmmm if I had not read the sequel first I would have no complaints, but the sequal was amazing, and here... well, it missed the mark.
First thing that striked me was that it should have been longer to fit all of the diffrent plot lines it tried to include - the teacher, the friendship they had within themselfs and tomoe, the build up that led them to come out, the understanding of the reality of a one sex relationship, the process of changing from friends to lovers etc. The sequal did that incredebly well, but it left a lot to be built up. And the author kind of lost themselfs in the process trying to understand what to do with how much they were given, so everything was placed in, but nothing was fully explored. That gave the story an empty feeling. At least to me.
Honestly I don't blame anyone, I understand where the problems came from, but I am dissapointed because when I found out what it was I was screaming. I loved the sequal a lot and thought it was a great representation of an lgbtq+ couple, even if it was a bit tad too positive I believed it could have happened. Here it's... I think my love for this is only for the sake of the sequal and that makes me kind of sad.
So for the people who loves the sequal and read it a lot like me, some of you might not understand where I come from but I would suggest not expecting the same from the sequal since the dissapointment dropped hard on me :(

I had way more expectations leading up to this point after the first season. Can't say I'm not dissapointed. Maybe I saw in the story something that is not there, but now the connection between the leads is generic and flat just like most of the shoujo couples. They had something diffrent once. That's a shame.
I understand why Kyuho did what he did, after all he does wish to protect Kangha... but the way he chose to go about it was cruel as hell. I understand his mindset and the why of it all but if things go as he wishes, this shit is going to fuck Kangha up for years go come. Poor Kangha, he had enough trust issues as is.

totally agree
exactly!! this business-like way of solving things is not for everything
Totally. But from a different pov, I can totally understand why he did this and in this way too! And that's the most frustrating thing about it ;____;
i get you! i just hope kangha will get a proper explanation from him :(
Same ;_____;
