So um…. Guys, is this worth reading?! I love this author’s work, but I’m worried reading all these comments
If you can't handle vomit then I wouldn't read it but I don't think the story is a bad read. people have it out for the uke cuz he's in love with someone else but the guy he's in love with is married, the married guy also treats the uke like garbage. The story isn't finished yet, the 3rd volume comes out in Japan on February 25th. In conclusion I think it just comes down to how much drama and angst you like in the stories you read, I think this story is a okay read compared to alot of others. I personally like the story so far cuz the characters are pretty diverse and not overly typical, both the uke and the seme have their own issues that they're trying to work though.

So I reread the story and I have a question if y’all know tell me, why did Jae shin tell nok not to call him by his name all the time? I mean like why? Isn’t that his name? Or is different in Korean and Korean culture? I’m genuinely asking so I hope y’all can tell me
I believe you've guessed - it's the cultural thing. Calling one by his own name is a big deal. Esp in the foretime at the court.
I saw on X a Korean comment about how big is the deal with Jaeshin calling Nok as just "Nok-ah" (as he's requested). That no one was allowed to call the prince with his name, like at first you were titled as a prince, later a crown prince, then a king. Even his own parents wouldn't normally use the given name. Oh and wasn't there this thing, when the crown prince becomes the king he choose another name for people to use? It was highly forbidden to say the kings real name. I've typed for example "king seonjo", "seonjo of joseon" on wiki, given name "Yi Yeon". Crown Prince Uigyeong - given name Yi Jang. But you've asked about Jaeshin - sorry I got carried away^^"
So when Jaeshin's said that (a long time ago now;)) I think it was like "don't get too friendly with me". Maybe "don't think I'm one of your subjects" even, or just someone with a lower status.
Yeah I do know that calling someone by their given names are big deal in Korea and that only close people get to do it or they use honorifics but I just didn’t get that part , but now I Do thank you so much
