I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but I hate those coloured pages. It ruins the art and is so tacky. If I wanted colourful art I would read a webtoon. And it also messes with the continuity because it's a repeated page.

It would be really hard to find this kind of BL manga nowadays. The quality of the writing and research that went into the story is unreal. But i guess it's expected since people usually prefer the more sexual and light works than the wordy ones like this.

The original Chinese novel was allegedly plagiarized. 'Allegedly' bc I cannot read the original BL novel that's in Chinese but people have shown evidence that the plot points were copied. Chinese novels have a habit of recycling certain themes in "xian xia" novels however, you should make the decision yourself on whether it was plagiarism or inspiration via research. HOWEVER I do not know if the manga artist is actually aware of this precisely bc of the lax copywright laws in China & made the series into a complete blown out mega Movie-Drama production. I find it sad for the innocent such as actors & production staff be embroiled in this & get hate. I also find it funny & hypocritical for people to bash the manga when they are reading a translated manga which is hosted on a 3rd party site without permission but then again how else can we read manga amiright? XD. Nevertheless, the manga, irregardless of plot is beautifully drawn... the plot is very good so if you can read Chinese, read/buy the ORIGINAL BL here http://www.jjwxc.net/onebook.php?novelid=157075 . If you can't read Chinese or don't like BL, I think it's ok to read novel & manga, watch the drama etc...bc beyond the copied plot, a lot of people have put in their hard work such as actors & artists to bring the story to life without knowledge of the plagiarism BUT remember the original author! I'm so genuinely happy that they got their own volume. I love the first couple, but Hibiya and Sugiyama's love story is so much more amazing! Probably because both of them are mature! Would love to have another volume about Tsutsumi and Kurata and Satomi and Sensei! Huhu

My advice is that you all pretend that this is the final chapter and ignore any further chapters you may encounter. The main couple is together for now, and the dirtbag 3rd wheel seems to be out of the picture, so do yourself a favor and mentally mark this as complete. If you actually ever read all the way to the end (another 43 chapters), there's a 99.99% probability that you'll say to yourself, "WTF did I just waste my time reading?" and, more importantly, "WHY?"

I like old mangas like this. They have such interesting plots!
