I like that the author doesn't spell out everything they think but I was kind of lost to what was actually going on in this chapter? Is this just smut and I don't need to think about it or was there a reason for the neck tapping?

So I am actually a little confused about the setting. MC tried saving pado as a child when he was drowning and ended up drowning himself while pado lived. Now a bunch of bubbles gave him a chance and brought him back to life a few years later?
