i just started reading a bl manhwa with the most gorgeous art and i was loving the story. i went in completely blind and i loveddd the plot: rugged old man who’s handsome and aloof ends up taking care of cute younger man begrudgingly. there was even a vampire twist i was absolutely not expecting! AND THEN I FIND OUT THAT THE OLDER MAN IS THE BOTTOM. and i usually dont have an issue with it but all the flags being raised were telling me what the dynamic was gonna be when they got spicy and i read spoilers and its actually flipped?!?!!!???!!??? it put me off so bad i got so upset and like now im typing this out and realising its actually not that big of a deal but IT IS THAT BIG OF A DEAL BECAUSE BREAK TROPE NORMS ALL YOU WANT BUT- but…. my little heart cant handle it… the manhwa was called “after a meal” if you’re curious. i was so excited to see a cute vampire getting doted on story because I just love that trope, and the way the artist draws the ML is giving bottom. which is degenerate for me to say but thats what it gave. sue me. but idk guys am i being crazy? im being crazy i know, its never this serious. but it is. i need to go to bed

bro this manga has actually lost the plot bro its sort of hilarious. i dont know what keeps me reading. i think its that one glimmer of hope that mika and yuu might be canon. but idk apparently shinoa will force yuu to love her which is really something to look foward to! she also absorbed the one and only 100% assured threat and character that i wouldve actually cared to see redeemed. idk man the writing in this show is so unpredictably predictable. its like youre constantly wondering which cliche they’ll throw at you next. i remember literally bursting out in laughter at the “YUU IS MIKAELA” reveal. its all a shame because the premise of the world and themes they try to go into are really interesting. that and the art is so beautiful, one of the most consistently illustrated manga ive ever read. argh i went into a whole review but does anyone else share my gripes with the writing of this show?? its all so repetitive

If you are seriously reading this shit and thinking “wow! dan gave enthusiastic consent completely sober and jaekyung did not threaten or coerce him at all!” you are delusional and dangerous and you need to seriously reconstruct your understanding of what it means to consent to something. dont spread blatant misinformation to a website that minors frequent especially about sex and consenting. BL already does alot dubcon and weird freaky non con shit and alot of kids read that and warp their understanding of sex (specifically gay sex) around that, which is why you have people down here every week saying “jaekyung is a rapist!” to make sure everyone understands. if youre seriously looking at his behaviour and not thinking any of it aligns with criminal behaviour you are, again, delusional. Heres a quick exercise, count the amount of times dan has said no during a sex scene and then come right back here and tell me all the consent was enthusiastic!
