The FL looked interesting at first and ended up being so pathetic that I had to stop reading her thought bubbles, they cringed tf outa me. The whole thing was "I know I shouldn't, but I am gonna do it" just typical shoujo attitude, and she gets the consequences too. The story tries to be smart and it fails miserably. The twists are cliche af and we always go back to same whining FL that wants to "touch, see, hug" the ML. This was a huge bummer to read.
Love the main characters, hate her friends though. I have had trashy "friends" like them too.

As much as I got (spoiler ahead), there are lots and lots of drama. There is a new guy interested in FL, the ML gets closer to the other girl but FL and ML keep being together with LOADS of crying and fights (not joking). The FL once in a while has a heart stroke or something but recovers fast. I honestly can't tell wth is their problem going into fights so much but they almost always immediately make up so by the end of volume 9, we are still where the manga is left off here on mangago. The story drifts away from basketball slowly as new characters emerge, triangles form, and drama thickens. So if you are here for the "sport" tag, this is also not it.

Can't we have poor people stay poor in korean stories? Why every single poor character should end up being from a loyal, prestigious or whatever family? Kate was such a refreshing character because of being poor and yet dignified...then suddenly we get this boring cliche "oh wait she is a noble lady now" arc. Disappointing af...
Apparently, possessing an absurd amount of wealth is the only true happiness. How could they ever end a story without it?
Even better, make the character actually earn it by running a business or investing really hard worked for money like a real person would (in rental properties for instance). But, well, it wouldn't make a good story for them apparently.
Reading their last dialogue about death really hits hard knowing the author actually lost her husband and has been on hiatus for it. She is back now and I can only imagine how hard iTV might be for her to sit through a romance story after that. I probably would not recover myself. I wish her all the strength in this world...
