i understand the sentiment with the ending being sudden, which is true. although there's no problem with the ending, it felt sudden bc its not enough fluff for the couple.

it is a cute and wholesome story. BUT idk which chapters it start, the ex bf and gf of our ml and fl will pollutes the story until the end except the last 4 chapters. I do not enjoy this so called ragebait plot tbh i understand you need a plot, but there should be other way. the antagonists of this story truly astonished me deeply because they seem to be in need of urgent mental hospital for them to be kept permanently. author seems to not want to show much of the fluff between our soulmate main couple.

Review:
Art- 6. meh. i don't want to be mean, but the art is really mediocre. the color is very bright which can make it look very unattractive. anatomy is is not as stand out and i occasionally see some amateurish mistake. panel drawing is a bit lacking and uncreative based on 'romance fantasy' standard. i also don't really like the fact that when they did draw priscilla and kian together in one panel where one of them having conversation with other party, they made it look like kian just as any unimportant background character. surely there's a better way to draw him in a more tasteful way than render him as bg character decor while in actuality he is the ml. another thing that dissapoint me the most is the background art and the use of stock 3d. its most apparent at the last few chapters of (spoiler start) the dragon, the horse, and the castle interior when they did a makeover (spoiler end). i wonder why the quality of romance manhwa is so lacking and is so used with using 3d asset in comparison to action manhwa where most of it is handrawn especially the monster. the level of effort is deem to be recognize when it comes to a drawing of a horse, monster and non-common castle or building.

Story- 8. I heard many complaints from other people when the ending of chapters is near and i completely understand why. from what i can see, this is due to horrible adaptation arrangement and the pacing made it look like the important plot at the end looks 'dragged on'. the story overall is decent and straightforward, some people think the 'sexism or mysygonist' is bad writing, which i disagree. yes, believe it or not, people still act this way nowadays in 2024 especially in rural area where most people are close-minded so using 'bad writing' as criticism is cheap and lack of intellect. some ppl also complaining about the op fl which i find odd. i myself have no problem with it as i read way too many fantasy or aristocrat romance where the problem or drama arise one after another and taking waaaaay to long to be solve. so this kind of plot most definitely prefereble once in a while.

the story and romance is good? (in general), but not my cup of tea, especially the romance. its slow beyond anything else (dont get me wrong, i love slow burn romance, but this one aint it. i especially hate the love rivalry going on in this manhwa. while the fl literally oblivious with everyone who interested in her romantically). i do love the main pairing, i just don't like how it almost seems polygamy even though its not. i get that they're now love each other, but doesn't feel equal in my eyes. its always must be the ml follow her around, like why has his character become like this? all of his character development so far has been good and refreshing, and then the author decide to turn him like a simp, who must follow fl around and make a one-sided effort (I'm talking about chapters after 100+ when they confirm their love). i wish ml is treated more like a partner rather than a concubine who fl only slept with once in a while. i know that isn't the case, but it does seem like it. that part is what disappoint me the most bc i love the ml. i won't say his name, bc of spoiler. also, the pacing is extremely slow, that some might feel bored, which i understand bc i find myself skipping chapters.

I've read alot of review about the novel version of this and most people end up dissapointing and have issues with Penelope till the end. After reading the reviews with a big percentage of people express their issue with the mc, i decided to dropped this. yes its extremely popular and highly rated for the manhwa version, but the novel is already ended and the review is made by people who aldy completed the novel, so i take their review to heart. no point in started reading this after knowing about the mc.
