i get what you're saying, stories like this are slow-burn and patience is really a hard thing to have, but it's also stories like this make me look forward to how it ends. So I hope you're willing to give this webtoon another chance. Honestly, I don't see why it needs to have a faster pace, it seems rushy. It's perfectly fine to me ¯_ (ツ)_/¯
Well, slow paced stories don't bother me at all. I mean, I love "The Unfeeling Me", "Truth or dare" or even "The story about you and me". I mean, one of my favorite mangas of all times is "Canis" with like the first kiss after three volumes. Three volumes.
So I do love slow paced stories but not this one. Why ?
Well. Imma gonna make a comparaison : In Canis, at first we had a hatter who picked up a wounded man. This man was the last one of an American organisation and was planning to die. The whole story is about a normal person and an ex gangsta, trying to find a new thing to live for. They had to deal with the fact that the wounded man was behaving like a dog searching for a new owner, they had to deal with their own trauma, the internal homophobia and they both had to grow up to make this relationship worth a try. That's character development and at it is, the slow pace doesn't bother me. At all.
But here ? Well, we started with two persons in love, afraid to say it to the other one. Good start, good start, I mean it. But, at the end, nothing changed. In 40 chapters. No character development or whatsoever. We had a change of "I'm afraid I'll lose him" to "I'm afraid of what people will say". That's all.
Worst of all, the writer tried to defend the fact that nothing happens in 40 chapters in the last one, with the "it's difficult to a man to say to another one that they love them." Well, yeah. But it was the complete idea for 40 chapters already, when is this story going to move on ?
I'm afraid I suspect the author to have made the second couple because they knew they didn't have enough things to say to fill the gaps. It's almost like they were trying to milk the cow by creating new situations. That bothers me.
I see, well, I can't deny you about the character development, it's kinda meh rn. I still do think that the best part has yet to come. Tbh, I really am not fond of slow burn stories. I skip chapters if I don't like what's going on currently or wait till it updates at least 10 chapters just to skip an arc. I'm trying to change that way of reading though, cause I can't really appreciate the whole story if I just skipped so I'm really trying so hard with this webtoon. I guess that's why I replied to your comment in the first place. Feel free to drop, it really all comes down to preference lol :>
Don't you see the 'slice of life' in the genre? If you don't know the definition, let me google it for you.
The slice of life category of story is a story that portrays a "cut-out" sequence of events in a character's life. It may or may not contain any plot progress and little character development, and often has no exposition, conflict, or dénouement, with an open ending.

I didn't try to fight you. I just wanted to help you understand that it IS supposed to be slow. No need to say "that's just waste of time" when you were the one who didn't look at the genre first.
Well, I'm reading Yaoi and shounen ai for like, almost ten years already. I read tons of "slice of life" and it didn't bother me at all and the way it was paced didn't bother me at all. But that's not the problem with this story. I found this manhua to be boring and repetitive in itself, not because of its genre or whatsoever.
I wanted Minori san to top... I wanted him to flick his twitch and to be a perverted demon.

jokes aside, it was too fast paced, the sex was unnecessary (but at least, it wasn't a cloaca, thanks god) and the story could have been good if it was a little more slow paced.
