You are not alone, and yeah people keep talking about the relationship between chase and joel they make it like it's a real story. Why not just enjoy reading it without being serious about this kind of stuff like us <3 (〜￣△￣)〜

Omg I thought I was going to be seriously judge with this comment but I’m glad I’m not the only one. And I guess I can see why people would be uncomfortable being chase is Jesse’s somewhat friend but like and? I understand jesse hates the idea of all of that right now but obviously the author is going to change that and every one is saying it’s illegal, can you wait till the end of the story you have no idea what’s going to happens Joel might just want to wait until he’s a certain age and people are acting like they have done something serious already. Like you said I feel like people forget it’s a story that’s someone is MAKING this is not real life, obviously the author thought about all these things and has everything ready you just have to finish the story then I feel like you can judge. If Joel starts dating chase in the next chapter while he is still 19 then you can judge, if at the end of the story Joel is dating chase and Jesse is not accepting of that then you can judge but until all that happens I feel like you should either not read the story since it makes you uncomfortable or just wait for the ending.

Yeah, Chase is the one making moves. Honestly I don't ship because I'm super shallow about appearances and I can only view this manga as a dumb comedy. There are things I don't tolerate in BL, but age differences is fine with me as long as it's consensual and not manipulative. And Joel sure as heck isn't capable of manipulating anyone.

it's not a real story but it can remind you, make you feel something. Just like how rape incorporated in a story, people either will point it out or ignore it. If you go to the comment section in stories have rape in it, you will see the same thing. Why so surprise?

Ughh I hate when people compare rape stories with other stories.. Ok so here is the tea. These are 2 different things. The rape in the story most likely ACTUALLY happens and rape is a traumatic thing so obviously when people see it they might be extremely weirded out especially if someone has been through it and even if the couple end up together later it’s hard to forget the rape but this isn’t the same this is a shounen ai comedy, it’s meant to be goofy and make people laugh and nothing between Joel and Chase has even happened like in rape stories the rape actually happens. Yes chase sometimes forces himself on Joel but that’s actually the comedy seeing chases desperate attempts to get Joel’s love and attention is funny and sometimes even cute and the way the art is every time chase does those things is very comedic which shows the last thing the author wants is to make anyone uncomfortable or weirded out but people have been taking it to the extreme making it something it isn’t. And what I said might not even make sense but I don’t even care because ik what I mean.

like I said this is fiction, I know people can be sensitive in this kind of thing. But they should also know that if things like this are happening in the story then stop reading, why people keep basing this story in real life when it was obviously a fiction. Although, some parts are base in real life but the author making it seems more like a comedy (ex: setting up the math teacher, that people wish it can be resolve that easily too in real life) to keep it fictional and the reader can have fun and laugh about it instead taking it too seriously. If you guys reading a fiction you should always be open minded and not taking things too serious and basing it in real life. That's how you can have fun in life ╮(￣▽￣)╭

then it's hard to forget that Chase is underage and this pretty much makes Joel a chronophilias. Still a thing, it's illegal, just like rape. People have porn that based on rape and there are still readers with complaints. It's all fiction. You can have red flags all over when you read it, just like rape. Yes, it's a comedy, but still, very much something certain group of people feel a concern.A minor who is not an adult, dating a police who supposed to obey the law. Very easy to relate it to real life. And you tell me it's ok to call the teacher pedo but not Joel? And it's ok to voice their concern just like it's ok for you guys to enjoy it. However, discredit other people's opinions and asking people to calm down won't change how they feel.

They're contemplating slash contradicting themselves making people not enjoy the manhwa's couple and more likely does not support what the author has in mind... They might as well drop it if they're trying to support this manhwa halfheartedly...

Again if people are in their right mind one mustn't encourage each other to do rape... Take this for a scenario... "Hey this manhwa/manga is about rape its illegal, they should just take the hell their manga and trash it its ILLEGAL".. So why we must take people's mind off of it like once they see 'rape' they would eventually do it.. Should they do it?
NO OF COURSE NOT.. because anyone who is in the right mind will never do such a thing ... And anything that is related to sexual innuendo or intercourse is R18. Anyone that is supposed to read these are adult themselves, since they have the right mind, attitude and level of maturity to read these stuff and of course as proper adults they won't replicate or mimic such immoral actions, like we are so there are R18 warnings everywhere reminding that children are not suitable to read these because they are susceptible to the influence of rape rather than adults like we do..
And if any adult/s or mature people reads any sexual or erotic literature and tries to do it in real life well.. I might say that they are not in the right mind... Better consult a psychiatrist on why did they do that... There are so many factors to consider why.. So yeah that's why

You know this kind of story line in BL are pretty common, and you guys totally know about it. Then, why keep reading BL? you guys taking this too serious, and how is it rape between chase and joel when the feelings is mutual? you should look at the definition of rape first, rape is mostly likely a person being force to sexual, or maybe you are thinking of those old people taking advantages of young peoples feeling for their sexual desire. Even so, if you are referring this rape? what about the people in real life who get married and have children living happily even though they have a huge age gap? do you still consider that a rape? tell me more about then on how is that possibility a rape? (I'm going to say again this is FICTION people! my gosh) (〜￣△￣)〜

Also, the manga or manwha always shows a warning before hand for reader to know that there will be a disturbing events. Ex: rape, sexual abuse, violence child abuse or etc.. then this people who keeps complaining about it they just keep reading it, even though they already saw the warning that it might disturb them. Now I feel like this people who keeps saying things rape or whatever they were saying... I was like seriously people? why read? are you guys dumb? sorry for being mean but really.. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

Joel May have feelings for him right now but have they even done anything has Joel asked chase out!? No!!! That’s why I said wait till the end of the story because you don’t know what the hell is going to happen!!! This is a story someone is WRITINGG obviously they have thought about this I said in a comment earlier don’t judge if you haven’t even finished the story yet. Joel might wait until chase is older wtf is wrong with you people saying things that aren’t there. IKR! they keep justifying something that hasn't even exist, and giving out personal stuff. This is just a manga a fiction, I don't understand this people going through something in real life basis. Whether it's about concerning to other people feelings, but I feel like that's just being hypocritical. Also, like I said the author gives out a WARNING from the first page of the chapter if there is something that are sexual, violence, or abuse that it may disturb the audience or readers, and then they say that the author is encouraging this stuff like what the hell? how is that a encouraging? when there is a warning and why keep reading when they have been warned? seriously.. So what if people want to discuss it? This is the comment section of this manga. This is the place to discuss what they think of it. On Amazon Review or You Tube I see people going in depth on movie and book characters. People discuss characters and pairing from the show "The Witcher" pretty damn seriously. And they are also only fictional characters. Maybe that's part of how some enjoy it. People love Yenifer from the Witcher and discuss her very seriously. Are you saying they can't? That's its wrong to be that passionate about a character just because they're fictional.

Then don't get bent out of shape over Joel and Chase. They're just fictional, so who cares if others think they're gross.

It's weird to me how upset others get for people posting opinions against Joel and Chase. What, so everyone has to be super positive? If you like those two, then do so. No one is saying you can't like them. They're saying "I don't like them because..."

And I think those two are a very boring couple. I hate Chase's character because it's a terrible character in and of itself. He is very annoying to me. The author is trying to drag out this story with the Joel and Chase story, yet drag Jesse and Andy' story to a crawl because she knows that is the one that sells. Jesse and Andy have hardly made any physical progress because she wants to spread that out by padding things with the Joel and Chase nonsense.

I also don't like when author's do that. It's a cheap trick.

Calm down sissy! we don't mean about anything you said here LOL what we are trying to say is that hopefully that people won't be too serious, then basing it in real life for this is fiction. Why do they keep saying about raping thing between the two when there isn't any raping? Also, they keep saying about raping stuff and abuse, when there is clearly a warning that it may disturb them but they still keep on reading, that they ended up getting disturb by it and start to complain. You are right this is a free discussion to give your opinion, but we are also giving our opinion. Honestly, I don't really much care no matter how twisted the story will become, as long as I'm enjoying it (comedy stuff and lover's quarrel) all I'm just saying that people shouldn't take it seriously, all the weird stuff and just have fun, but if they can't have fun with it why keep reading?
