Based on the recent chapter, 57. ML didn't actually had an amnesia due to the car accident with MC. "He thought you(jiyoung/mc) died." Either its his older brother who lied or his father.
In earlier chapters mentioned ML had a car accident, im guessing they meant his first car accident with MC but seeing how he didn't get his amnesia in this recent chap(not sure but it seems so).
Maybe the ML got into another car "accident" like as in on purpose, su¡c¡de yk? based on his character he seems like the type to do that if the MC is de3d.

Yes, after the mc and ml got into an accident, ml asked his family where mc was but his family lied to him saying the mc died. That made ml so sad he took it as his fault even though HE was the one who protected the mc in the car accident without even caring if he died. After some time, he got well and was able to go home, but home reminded him of mc so much that he couldn't take it anymore and in the end he attempted by driving his car off a cliff. And thennnn he got amnesia.
This is kinda how I remember the story after I translated a little. Correct me if I'm wrong cuz I had to use Google translator haha

It's around chapter 62 on newtoki when they had their first car crash, so it'll probably be at chapter 60 here. And I'm not so sure because of the translation but at chapter 63 on newtoki the aunt said something about ml turning the car right so that the other car crashing towards them does not hit mc.
