I thought I was used to rape in yaoi, but this is too much. I mean Sword raped him until he had internal bleeding and anal tearing and a few pages later they're in love? I just can't suspend my disbelief enough for this one. And the mop handle thing? The author should never have put that in, in real life when people get raped like that they usually die. Best case scenario they have part of their colon removed and spend the rest of their life pooping into a colostomy bag. This whole manga is just too f*ed up for me... I find the yaoi filled with fictional dragons and demons much more believable, lol...
For me the ending was a bit to sudden. Needs an epilogue or something.
I don't know why I out off reading this one so long, the reviews are misleading. This story is phenomenal. I couldn't out it down once I started, very drama packed roller coaster, with a satisfying conclusion. The only thing I was a little irritated about was that Ten got a happy ending as well. I kind of wanted him to fall off a bridge into the path of a Semi or something. Oh and he should take Naoto with him too that creepy Pedo-rapist. I don't like how the author just glossed over that whole gang rape thing with Yanagi barely affected by it. that really p*ssed me off...
I don't know why everyone prefers Masahito, and says that Soji was just a coward. Masahito was cowardly too, he also waited years to confess. And technically Soji confessed first after seeing the hickey, whereas masahito didn't confess until after he heard about Soji's confession and then he immediately went into typical yaoi rape mode. Why anyone thinks he is a better seme is beyond me...
Also, Masahito said he held back so that Yusuke could be happy, but he knew the two of them both liked each other and didn't say anything to either one of them. He also knew the marriage was going to be fake and again said nothing to either of them. He was devious the entire time, just because he waited a decade to make his move doesn't make him admirable, it just makes him a procrastinator, lol....
I thought Soji made mistakes, but he did them with good intentions. His wife was on board with the while fake marriage thing so he wasn't deceiving her. He was trying to save his friendship with Yusuke and make everyone in his family happy. I don't consider that cowardly, I consider it practical. Sad, but practical...

Maybe because the artwork was so beautiful it kind of overpowered the horrible plot? I don't know, but it was really messed up. By now I've accepted that romance yaoi uses terms like "sadist" all the time without the proper meaning being represented in the story... annoying as it is. Also when there actually is BDSM there are never safewords and the BDSM community isn't represented well.
honestly I just think people are getting it wrong. the description didn't say anything about BDSM but simply implied the seme is a sadist and when you read the Manga you could tell that he really is! I mean he sort of mislead the uke and manipulated him in a sadistic way. if there was any BDSM it'd ruin this manga imo, it's good aND cute as it is ^^
