So like, I'm pretty sure tattoos are basically equivalent to the yakuza or affiliations with the yakuza in Japanese culture. I think Shiki was either sold to the guy with the full dragon tattoo and then had a partial dragon tattooed on him, or Shiki wanted to be with the guy at first, but then wanted to leave (maybe bc the guy was abusive, or some other reason) but couldn't.
To conclude, this is FUCKED UP, I DIDNT READ MANGA TO MAKE MYSELF DEPRESSED, and I SHOULDVE READ THE TAGS DAMNIT
