He did at first, because yul is that actors weakness but i guess he had fallen for yul that's why he chose to throw away his plan using yul as one of his card against that actor and decided to help yul instead.

I think his main goal now is to actually know the whole truth about byul and also the incident that they're currently investigating. I wish we can have more chapter
