I never thought Harada would ever continue this. Let's all pray for those two kids.
Also glad that not many people are overreacting like "THIS GIRL NEEDS TO FUCK OFF AND DIE!!1!!!1" whenever a girl is introduced like in other yaoi mangas. Harada fans are all so chill :')
Harada does a good job of characterizing his/her female characters. They usually serve a meaningful role within the plot rather than becoming the usual love rival to the protagonist (which automatically causes feelings of hate) and so BL readers don't automatically lash out with misogynist adjectives.
There has been series with great female characters but people still get mad at them for no reasons. I think it's also because a lot of people who reads Harada's stories are a bit older/more mature than the ones you find on really popular mangas.
People usually want characters who are either bad or annoying to die. Being female is beside the point. This girl hasn't done anything yet.
I don't think people are hard on female characters because they are female--I think in yaoi many characters who happen to be female do crappy or annoying things--and then some others say, "Look, yaoi fans hate females!" while ignoring the real reasons why such characters are hated. Being female isn't the reason why people hate such characters. It's because they do hateful things or are written with traits that many readers find irritating.
