You can be humbled in different ways. And him losing the match isn't going to humble him. it is going to trigger him because he has a trigger. It may force him to deal with his past but losing is what has driven him.
The way I want him to be bumbled is for Dan to break his heart by leaving him. That way they both glow up and force Jaekyung to grow up.
