It was honestly an okay read. Nothing special maybe if I was younger I would have enjoyed it a lot more. The art was at least nice but not worth reading all of it nice. The ending felt rushed and like they no longer wanted to do it, since they introduced the kids and almost implied that they were going to talk about Beatrice’s love story. They didn’t. They probably should have written more about what the new empress & emperor (main couple) were going to do. Also what the blonde daughter did & her husband since they’re watching over the portals now... I really wasted my time reading this, honestly if you want to read it you can stop after the empress dowager dies, nothing relevant happened after. Mc/ empress felt annoying at times and the emperor went through such a big personality change in such a short time it was unsettling.
