ok i've made peace with the fact that there will be no romance. if the author wanted that kind of story, they wouldn't paint seung ho out to be this cruel in the first place. there is no silver lining to his character. man's hot but that's literally it. every other good aspect he possesses, he has managed to use it negatively, be it power or intelligence. now i've come to realize he's not the main lead, he is the main villain.
shit's going to be hard, getting over the lovey-dovey image i had created in my head, but i'll try.
ps. also how the fuck seung ho doesn't have herpes yet? i mean, look at that guy!
y'all just wanna express your opinions or straight up judge people for shipping nakyum and seung ho? this is a yaoi manga, this is fiction which means it's not real. i think i might have to say it louder, this is NOT REAL. it's so funny looking at people acting like they've discovered the mysteries of the world or something when all they've done is point out seung ho is fucking crazy. yeah so, what's new? kindly get off your high horse and let people enjoy the damn manga.
I mean, I don't think Na Kyum should be with Seungho either. I can see why there's outrage over this and others not wanting it to turn into a rape-to-romance type story. Completely understandable. But it is yaoi. This kind of thing is to be expected. For me, Seungho was all good until he violated the poor guy. After that, I was like, shit well he just lost his chance. He could have had Nakyum if he had just calmed the fuck down. Used a more gentle approach rather than...um, you know, all out craziness (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ But...we don't know how this will go ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Either way, I'm enjoying it.
y'all i think i'm gonna stop reading this manhwa. my life is already as shitty as it is. i love this manga but maybe i love it too much. maybe that's why it's affecting me more than it should. this is not good for my mental health.
spoiler(30):
also after what is happening and how seung ho is behaving right now, i think the relationship we're all desperately hoping for is not happening. it's past the point of return, like nakyum is crying in EVERY. SINGLE. CHAPTER.
It's understandable, this story is frustrating at some point and it asks a certain level of patience to keep reading it, especially if you're really into it and invested. So take your time to rest, and come back once more chapters will be released. Sometimes I feel that I need a break too... ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
Would be great if the chapters were longer.
when seung ho kicked jihwa out and jihwa said that other nobles are trashtalking about seung ho because he has sex with a peasant (nakyum), seung ho says that isn't true but if they are talking anyway he'll try that fellow out. when nakyum said he hated seung ho to death, seung ho says if he hates him anyway better clear some things out and goes for his sword threatening to hurt in hun.
seung ho is just a very, very misunderstood person with a bad boy(?) complex. he thinks that even when he tries to do something nice, the world will always deem him as notorious. so he has the mentality that if people think he's bad then he will be worse because they hate him anyway. in the early chapters, the servant says that seung ho has been hurt very deeply in the past. i think all these problems in his personality stem from certain incidents of his youth which will be unraveled slowly.
also seung ho is very devoid of warmth and affection so when nakyum said all those things about liking seung ho (in hun), it stirred something in him. he wanted it more. but when nakyum rejected him so bluntly, he felt angry because it hurt his pride. he knows he is attractive and men never reject his advances. so when he forced nakyum out of anger and self confidence, he sees that nakyum is not into it at all. seeing this, he lets nakyum go. y'all won't agree with me when i say this but i think he doesn't have predatory instinct in him.
i know i'm stretching far and wide to justify for seung ho's actions but something tells me he is not an evil person. he is just very, very troubled with deep emotional wounds and turmoil.
THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT! Of course we cannot always blame possible trama, but that trama could/can have extremely heavy effects on one person. Like Seung Ho for example. He could have been through a lot in his childhood: like maybe his father/or some guardian disciplined him to the point it just wasn't disciplining a child.. it was child abuse or maybe as child, he was considered to be a bad child because no one explained certain things to him properly.. therefore people giving him a name as a bad boy and at the same time having this extreme hatred for him.
I feel bad for Seung Ho (not pity but sympathy) but I also feel bad for Na Kyum (again sympathy). Both of these poor souls are confused and are in some kind of mental pain.
I hope that there will be an episode where things getting really deep between them [in a way that it's good for both of them], but I doubt it.
the comments are scaring me but i'm gonna take a leap of faith and see how this story goes.
Okay I'm assuming you read it so on a scale of 1 to 10, how bad is the rape scene?
