the night the king calls him, before he can do anything to shin he runs off to wolfgang and wolfgang leaves a "mark" (hickey) on him. so shin gets in trouble for that and ends up kicked out of the palace and the king is never able to do anything to him

I am totally not surprised that the author is going to drag shit out and pull the amnesia plot. It can be done well but VERY RARELY. Amnesia plot just makes readers wanna rage and it doesn't help that this happened as the final chapter for Season 2.... after author dragged the flashback arc for a bit too long
