It is weird but their mindsets are on the same level plus i didnt really remember that. I think they aged her body faster so that wouldnt be a problem. But this a work of fiction and she doesnt act like her age so i dont really see the problem because she doesnt look or act like a child and her mindset is actually older from being from the future so they aren't making it about a child in love with an adult. I hope this makes sense because yes its weird but since this is fiction and shes not actually a child i think its fine now in real life that isnt okay even if the child is physically and mentally developed doesnt get over the fact they are still an actual child who has only been alive for a certain amount of years so they dont have experience with dating and understanding consent or adult love. Plus they arent fucking so its not that dark.
