I've read so many cardboard protag uke who has a love triangle with a soft seme and rich dark seme stories that it's gotten pretty boring (no hate to the creators or fan of this genre, just my opinion). Is this story worth reading?
To me it is. It's realistic. The uke and seme bf are coworkers and they have an stable life together, but the uke finds his life boring, like nothing really happens, they are inside a routine. And then comes uke's past lover and the uke still have the hots for the guy so he gets really confused about what he should do.
holy god this story is one of the gods among men of BL. Like goddamn, this shit slaps so hard after I read it I feel like I've been transported to a different multiverse. So many "yaoi" stories I read grind the uke stereotype so hard ground it becomes no different than a heterosexual story because they reduce them to just being a shadow of a female character. Here, Wataru is such a strong lead it doesn't even matter who is the "uKE" or the "SeMe" because you're in it for their chemistry. Also, it is obvious that both of them are 100% boy with their own faults and strengths, not the diluted character tropes of "manly rich seme" and "soft breakable uke". I appreciate this so much because of it, this feels like a real gay couple and not a story bordering on fetishization. God bless.
No offence Mine but you really shouldn’t have decided you were going to be in a straight manga when you born with eyes like Mort from Madagascar...
