I'm calling it now. I think they had some sort of accident before college.
Mincheol is a sporty person and we see in the latest chapter that he has an injury cause he had to stop running (chapter 28). It has been bugging me (from chap 18) when it was revealed that Mincheol wanted to go to Phys ed and did a lot of sports in highschool, but is now in the business major. I thought it had something to do with Haneul and was scared tbh that the only reason he didn't go to that major was so he could be closer to her, but now I see that is not the case and is actually because he couldn't go cause of the injury.
When we pair this with the fact that she is always seen wearing her wristband, I think she may be covering a scar from that accident and that Mincheol possibly gave her that wristband.
She doesn't strike me as a person that is self harming, and I don't see the characters around her and her close friends being wary of her mood, that type of tendencies or generally behaving in any way that would indicate that.
ALSO I analyzed all the scenes from the flashbacks and she is not seen wearing the wristband in either middle or highschool. Also maybe something will be revealed at the reunion, cause Mincheols injury storyline has been building up to this point.
I would like to hear what the rest of you think? (=・ω・=)

I saw that theory and it could be ofc, but that is why I included the second part that she and her behaviour doesn't strike me as SH. Also I think Mincheol would be on his toes all the time and be constantly checking on her in some way, and so far we didn't see that happening. Also the manhwa doesn't seem to be in such a dark tone, but it would be interesting if SH was mentioned/included and done right. However, I have to say that I think Mincheols injury will be linked to Haneul in some way, because it usually is done in that type of manner in the romance genre in general (and its not like they didn't know each other before for the injury to be their linking point and be included in that way).

ALSO, just thought this.
If the author played the card of Mincheol going to business major without the injury, I would be inclined to think that is his way of keeping an eye on her because of SH, so he could be closer to her and take care of her. But with the injury added, I don't think that is the case.
LOL I read so many psychological/diabolical manhwa where they inflict the injury on themselfs so it would seem like an accident and so they could be closer to the love interest, but again this manhwa is not that type of genre I think (AND HOPE LOL).

I saw a lot of people are confused about this arc, so here is a summary of everything that happened with cultivation stuff explained. Also u can find the same message because I answered a comment, but maybe more people will see it this way. Hope it helps :)
Okay so long story short, Wang Yi is now a disciple of Qin Xian.
-Both of them had sealed memories. They did this because the master system that controls all the transmigrators and their stories noticed that all the worlds with WY and QX had some sort of a bug/malfunction. By erasing their memories, they evaded the master system and the protag/uke of this arc was blamed as the bug. (because of the white cat, but we still don't know who that is or what its role is - probs to rebel against the master system)
-Wang Yi is half human-half demon (snake to be specific) cultivator because of his parents (they are not known in this arc) and he is a genius cultivator (bcs he has 1/heavenly core and his type is mutant ice//the more cores u have the weaker u are, and there are 5 types and obv mutant is a rare one).
-Qin Xian is one of the cultivators with the highest cultivation stage and needs only 1 (since chap 127) more stage to become immortal (which is the goal with any cultivation type story - immortality and power). He has taken WY to be his disciple since WY was a child.
-Because of the og protag/uke of the story, the timeline has been fucked and QX found out about the demon blood/linage of WY sooner than planned. Now, most sects don't usually allow demons/half demons to be a part of their sect, because they fight against demons and view halflings as more demon than human and more unpredictable/dangerous. QX of this world is the same, but he really loves his disciple WY. I think at first he wanted to keep him in the sect by his side and just hide the fact WY is half demon, but after reading WYs mind he understood that WY knows something about their world and the fate of it and that if he keeps him by his side, WY will die by his hand. So he decides for WYs safety to expel him from the sect and put a protective shield on him, cause he knows WY is strong and can survive on his own. From that moment, he started researching ways to separate the demon blood from halflings in hopes of helping WY.
-After WY was expelled from the sect, he decided to become stronger (and he did, because before chap 127 he was just 1 level below his master, but now he is 2 levels below lol). Now because of that mark on his forehead, he cannot enter the sect, even tho he STILL IS the disciple of QX. So he decides to wear a wig (that is not a simple wig as we remember from the 1st arc, he actually conceals his existence) and enter the sect as a totally new disciple. Because that wig is not from this arc, his cultivation specs are now shit, but I guess that is what he needs cause he just wants to be able to serve QX, so he can give him the un-dumbing antidote.
-Also, when cultivator need to ascend, aka progress to the next cultivation stage, they need to survive tribulation, which is essentially being struck by lightning a lot of times (different number for different stages). That is what we saw in the last few chapters and what WY has helped him with by creating ice crystals that absorbed some of the thunder power. Now I'm not sure, but I think cultivators can control when they are gonna break thru to the next stage and can summon the tribulation themselfs. However, QX saw wig WY and I think that caused some imbalance in his Qi (power of cultivators basically) and caused the tribulation 10 years earlier than in the story. I mean, he did say he felt sudden rise in his power. I think that is because some sort of emotion or slight memory from 1st arc returned.
-Now that he found out that the new protag is actually Bai Mo, he will complete his villain missions as himself, and his self-given side quests as the wig (i fr don't know the name of the girl with the same hair, its easier to just call her wig lol)
-We still don't know what SO and QX have cooked and what are they planning, but probably to first try to return WYs FULL memories, from when he was QXs system and so he can remember their promise.
Lol sorry for the long post, I hope I explained it well and ask if there are any questions. (●'◡'●)ノ

I can't believe that this manhwa made us emotionally invested in junseo just for him not to be endgame. Or the childhood friend at the very least. I'm only annoyed because why give a second male lead a better and more tragic backstory (and make us, the readers, like him or even relate to him even more) + flush out his personality so well JUST to make him a SECOND male lead. We barely know anything about the actual ML. So lets see:
-We know nothing about his past or backstory (unlike the other love interests, heck, even the orange head friend has more of a backstory from middle school)
-How did our MC influence the change in the MLs feelings (we know about the red head and especially junseo, but how after the rejection has he been influenced /this wasn't shown nor told/)
-In the case of ML, the manhwa has a very bad show not tell principle (because if I wasn't told that the ML actually liked our MC even after he rejected him, my view on things would be that he just missed the attention and was afraid the MC won't love him anymore, so he activated himself when he saw how many rivals he actually had and became jealous /almost like a child after you take away the toy he never even noticed or played with/. Welp, that or the poor writing that lead to feelings being magically there)
-Let me not even comment the leading on before the confession of the MC, if I was him, I would also confess in that moment because the ML made the mood like that and basically baited him just to reject him ??? We never even found out why he did that or if it was even conscious (its bad even if it wasn't tho...)
-The most we know of the ML is that he has a fucking dog and that he loves him very much and even if yes, that is relatable, it's not enough to compete with the other love interests. And that he is a martial artist who helps the week, again, cute but not enough to actually feel like its close and personal.
-Also its okay that the MC didn't like the other love interests, I guess its life and you cannot like everyone who is kind/interesting to you, but I would maybe be even happier if he matured/accepted himself without thinking he is weird (AGAIN THAT IS THANKS TO JUNSEO WHO DID MORE FOR HIM THAN ANYONE ELSE AGHH) and ended up alone. Because to me he ended up being dumb for going back to the person who played with him and even rejected him at first /especially when you think about it and realize that it was a crush that wasn't based on personality (cause he didn't know him) or even a specific situation that made him like the ML, so its probably what? Looks?? He even ruined the friendship with junseo for that type of crush.
Even tho I know its not that deep, and they looked cute in the end, I simply can't help myself but pity junseo who deserves a world and was the best option + he did not deserve the feeling of heartbreak on top of everything else he has going on. And the ML didn't really put in that much work or emotion until the very end (thank the red head for making it a little difficult for the ML tbh).

-So I think its obvs that OG Wang Yi is OG Qin Xian's system.
-Its also hinted that SO now has to be an animal because of the accident they caused. Obvs QX was obsessed/fell in love with WY and so they had to prevent that from ever happening again, so they turned all SOs into animals lol. We still don't know what exactly happened.
-SOs also do have emotions, they are not robots/AIs with NO emotion (we can see this from Wang Yi's cat that genuinely started to care for the white cat and was worried about it). My theory is that OG Wang Yi was to be eliminated bcs of the accident (since he was a glitch/defect), but QX did something to make him become human and go thru scenarios. WY also has limited emotions/morals and doesn't know how to fall in love because he was an SO before.
-In one of the chaps with flashbacks we see QX giving (almost) dead WY his blood. I think this bound them and is why they are always closely connected in every world and scenario (QX saying if WY doesn't drink it he will not be able to find him).
-I still can't quite figure out the relationship OG QX and WY had. We have a few scenes where WY is being chained up and looks really hurt and it is suggested that QX did it (bcs it were his memories). In these memories QX seems to also be obsessed with WY, but in a more psycho level (wanting to own him and such and also WY saying QX can't hold him down).
-From this newest chapter we can see they still had some sort of agreement, but with current info we have, I can't for sure say what it could be. But WY will probably start getting his memories back, so we will find out soon enough.
We are nearing the end of the story with only the accident being unrevealed yet and also the conclusion how the story and relationship of WY and QX will end. This is a really good story and the author is dropping some awesome hints to make one think without giving much away ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I think that is true for QX. The OG QX entered this system/scenarios because he wanted the powers to read minds so he could be the ultimate leader. Still he sacrificed that for WY and my theory on that is that because of the accident, his punishment was to lose his memories and have to collect fragments of himself with every new world he enters (and I think this is why with new worlds he has more memories, but forgets everything from previous worlds), but because he already earned his mind reading power before that it stayed (and that is why he is a transmigrator, but not a complete one and without a SO now).
The OG WY was not a transmigrator if my theory is correct, but he became one and was put in a situation where he couldn't refuse the SO bcs he had to save his friends. He is probs also a villain in every story because SO can't read him well because of his limited emotions and morals, even tho he is not a villain in his mind.

Haha thank you so much. I just really love this story so I am very analytical when reading and trying to find any clue I can so I can predict the later development.
Yeah, WYs memories are a mystery even for me so I hope the author will start focusing more on them (/TДT)/
And as for the childhood friend, I think anyone who is ''invited'' by the SO can participate and they probably need to have a high 'status level' so to call it. Like she has a status of a heroine every time and WY has a status of a villain every time.

Idk who these ppl are that are NOW, after 2 seasons complaining about the title. Like? Have you read the story?? The whole 1st season was about the title, River gave Khaol so many chances and tried to change him, but this shows that someone can't change because of love of another person, he also needs the WILL to change. Also the fact Khaol was also in love with Kaveri doesn't help the situation. The story was going in a natural direction and after everything Khaol put River thru, River chose the 2nd ML who actually respects him and is a healthier and better choice. River has been so happy since then.
ALSO THE STORY DIDN'T END. Let the author end the story and maybe she will tie the title to the ending. Like Khaol dying and River thanking him for being his groom cause he would never meet Heil or save the world. It would also be a good end for Khaol who has only felt pain since becoming a god. Also idk what story you have been reading if you was Khaol and River to end up together.

i agree with the stuff you said... even tho khaol did isnt something you can forgive easily. but i still dont hate him... if i was in his shoes i probably would hate people that get my lover killed and stuff... at least he learns to let go and trying to at least help.... if he is someone that isnt willing to change hecould just let everyone die while knowing it. and he isnt forcing himself onto river but instead try to let river go cuz thats the best gift he could ever give his ex bride. letting go isnt easy as people make it out to be. some people cant and some can easily let go and some are able to after some time.

I actually agree. I don't like Khaol, but I also don't hate him because he is too pitiful to hate at this point. Also from what I can see, he will get his redemption with this Lari situation which is a good character development. What he did to River is inexcusable and that is why he wasn't good for River before and won't be now. Its ok for people to hate him, but they can't say he didn't change or didn't suffer for his choices.

Everyone needs to chill, she was literally a child. An elementary school student. Like what she said is shit, but this is a great time to redeem herself and apologize (bcs she probably doesn't know how bad her worlds affected Siwon). I think Siwon needs it as well, so he can finally let go of the past and move forward. I hope she will end up as a good character with a positive influence ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Honestly, you're probably right, I had someone act that way with me but it was in middle school, even then I didn't mind because I understood where he was coming from, you know when boys tease each other if one of them likes a girl...etc anyway, I was pretty understanding...though I was really sad because I wanted us to be friends, he was a good person who got pressured into insulting me. I can't be friends with guys anymore. It's happened way too many times I don't trust their friendship with me anymore, though I understand and I have no bad feelings towards that person, I'm still sad we couldn't become friends because he truly was a nice person, what a shame...
I hope this girl in the comic gets to be a good character instead of a harmful one to our dear MC

Oh it's totally fine, thank you for worrying about me, I don't let this kind of thing get to me, I know that they'll grow up to understand in the future haha, also for this comic, I actually feel like they'll just be using this childhood crush as a way for that junior to know that our MC used to be fat, so that he could shame him or something, so I think they'll just make him maybe eavesdrop on them or smth, so she may not be the one to do the bad deed but through her meeting with him that's what might happen, well that's just my theory so I'm not sure haha, and once again thank you for worrying, I appreciate your kindness, have a wonderful life Ms/Mrs.Sara!
Lol guys the author posts this on webtoon so I think they cannot show a lot of smut there bcs webtoon is strict about it..
