in english it does sounds weird but in korean its not..
they used different word to called their own parents and their friends or other people parents..
in this manhwa author used word 아버님(abeonim)=father this word usually a formal way to called other people father or old man(not exactly old man but the one who already married and have kids)
ex: to call your close friend's father or teacher to their student's father
while the word for daughter to called their own father is 아버지(abeoji)=father or 아빠(appa)=dad
both word have same translate in english so its just language barrier..
this also for comedy purpose bc she used word for married man and have kids to called a single man without a kids
