So this is what I’m getting from reading the chapters over. When Ren said he was going to say just kidding it was if kyoko didn’t return his feelings but seeing she understands and feels the same way he whole heartedly admits he likes her but she also understands that he’s not in a place for that kind of relationship and neither is she so even tho he said he wanted to be her boyfriend he can’t of as yet.
I might be missing more but it was confusing the first read.
Wait wait WAIT!!! WHEN WE GET TO BOYFRIEND MATERIAL!!! We don’t even know if kyoko has returned his feelings! Tsuruga said freak that I’ve waited too long. Boyfriend now! So many years of waiting and now I feel we moving to fast! Lmaoooo we jumped the whole damn shark. I’m losing my mind.
Finally finally! When I started this manga I was younger than Kyoko now I’m older than Ren! I’ve been waiting for this for years!!!! I’m so glad he finally confessed and she didn’t shut him down completely. There is a chance that much we know.

Read 3 chapters and it’s a big nope for me. A male character can be rude but not the rude where they threaten to hit you and rape you the first time they meet the main girl. Big no. I’ve read rude male leads before and it only comes off as making fun or maybe not liking the character but never harmful. We not doing that bye
