This girl doesn't know the concept of what "real" love is. She must have think that being that being different means leading to unhappiness like what she experienced. Based on her comment (although it is far from the context) it would be better if the Chief find someone can make him happy. She realized her mistake but also confused if it is right or wrong.
Anyway, I really love this story cause this couple is too mature. They know how to communicate really well and they don't have the highschool syndrome in their relationship. I just hope that they would continue being like this
