Agreed, within the first 10 chapters alone he is so severely shit that it goes beyond reasonable redemption. Did the writers forget to add in like.....literally even one good thing? Anything "kind" he's done has been delivered with an attitude or ulterior motive. The whole appeal of these toxic guys is the hidden soft spot they have for their partners, even if it's unseen under the brooding. Even in his internal monolouges he doesn't like Dan beyond his sex appeal. Huge fumble as the premise could've been good :(
