I got dizzy after reading this. It's like I read an isekai story of a normal person transmigrated into a weird planet with psychos as the denizens where he's thrust into a school of cult (not the hogwarts), worshipping a false god who thinks he was a robot. anyway, at least it all ended well and good.
I've always thought (imagine) that kayden and kartein may have a deeper relationship from way back but they just don't like acknowledging it because of their pride and the nature of their upbringing being awakened ones. Maybe they're relatives? Or perhaps, childhood friends or neighbor? They could've been classmates (one a bully and the other the class monitor). Because if they truly hate each other, they'd be fighting. But, no. Kartein trusts Kayden (with his safety during healing). And Kayden respects Kartein's healing capabilities. They only fight verbally. They're like jisuk and subin who knew each other well but never got the chance to be real "friends". Only now with jiwoo's appearance they able to bridge their gap and made their friendship bloom. Anyway, I guess, it's time to showcase kartein's real (combat) power in the next chapters. Looking forward to it. Thank you very much!
Why is this so different from the novel? The novel was well written and I enjoyed reading it til the end. From plot, character profiles, romance, and even the ending.
While Chen had a very stubborn, willful personality, Lin xui was ruthless to his enemies but magnanimous and helpless towards his ward.
But in this manhua, the seme was an a$$hole and the uke was made to be weak and frustrating.
I didn't remember Chen shedding tears. He grits his teeth and clenches his fists and was so easy to throw punches when provoked. On the other hand, Lin xui was very patient and forgiving towards Chen (to a fault). Lin xui spoiled him rotten that even he himself couldn't control Chen.
There was no extra touches and perverted acts made to Chen while he was minor. But what's with the manhua drawing $hit like putting Chen on Lin xui's lap and/or carrying him around like a child? Lols.
Manhua ultimately dismantled the novel and made an entirely different story from the same title. If only they followed the story of the novel, rating would've been higher than this. So sad
I've also thought about it way back as well.. kayden and jiwoo's relationship is very unique among other mentor-apprentice out there.. they're not just teacher-student but also parent-child.. they're also friends.. anyway, thank you kartein for sending earthquake to his ult death! Why didn't Duke die though? I was so hyped and at the same time scared for kayden's health.. now that the fight is over, I'm finally relieved.. time to go home and report to the homies of your victories while slurping jjangmeon
