Probably too late already but pls more side stories on how they get together again afterward would be very much appreciated (╯°Д °)╯bc it’s a bit unsettling how their chemistry was so good at the beginning but then felt really awkward and kinda forceful toward the end (ik it’s bc of the thing but still)
I’d just finished reading “Happy Birthday” and it got me so depressed that I couldn’t even cry. My lucky ass found this gem and omfg the two stories’ plot really complement each other so well as if this one is HBD’s long lost sequel. If anyone decides to read HBD, read this one afterward. They tackle the theme of handling guilt and moving on after a loved one has passed really well.
It is so painful yet beautiful. This type of scenerio had crossed my mind from time to time and each time I never knew how to move on and live without having to constantly deal with the guilt of me not being there during their final breaths, that one day I might forget them; and also vice versa, that I might keep on thinking selfishly that my loved ones who stay will move on without me yet not wanting to see them suffer. Well this story doesn’t really offer an answer to that, but it does give an uplifting note to it. Hope the boys will live happily ever after indeed and lol thank god this is a fictional work after all
