if not, do you know where I could read it? :3
yeah found it bro it's in " https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/confinement_bl_anthology_2_sexcape_room/". It's just the first 4 chapters it seems, I thought it was a longer story..
Thanks for answering btw!
Did it ever tell us why Utstumi (black haired guy) raped him? Was it really just because he was drunk? Cuz it feels so out of character. Am I missing something?
Yeah with how well written this was throughout i expected some kind of thorough flashback on what really happened on that day, some kind of twist, but it really is just the MC being a plain drunk rapist right there and then, ig sht happens but yeah i was kinda disappointed on that front, not that any kind of explanation would justify the rape as he still inflicted trauma on the ML, but still finishing reading it now, it felt kinda forced and out of character like you said
That was something that was missing for me as well. Thus the 4* rating. It wasn't fleshed out. It was pure torture rape. I also don't understand why Utsumi had to knock him down violently B4 raping him. Like, it wasn't one of those where be just came onto the guy sexually, and like showed any kind of attraction. It was just pure plain evil.
Sorry. I meant Akamine. He's the black haired dude.
Read this awhile back so forgot their names.
I had the same thoughts
that's also a good point! Maybe they just added it to shock the reader, but it really doesnt make sense after you think about it
tbh I dont think I ever managed to learn what their names are xD
I know it was for shock factor but if it were just gonna be him knocking the dude down it should have been made into another incident. Compiling them into one makes no sense. Let's say they went drinking once and Akamine knocks him down for no reason. Then on the second meeting he starts raping him. Or vice versa even. And like it should have shown him doing this for SOME reason, even if drunk. Like, there was no connection whatsoever that he just randomly chose to rape Utsumi and no one else. Like it was just a ONE-OFF thing. Which is super weird. Like, if he's aggressive like that while drunk, this couldn't have been an ISOLATED INCIDENT. And if it WERE, then why the hell did it happen?!? And to Utsumi in particular. I don't recall exactly but something must have made him snap?!? Let's say work stress (I think something was touched base upon) or relationship stress (personal/private life) or money issues or trauma. I sure hope he wasn't just a complete psychopath or sociopath because then why? Make Utsumi be with a mentally ill person? Anyways, there's something lacking about this story that makes me want to vomit. I don't care about Utsumi taking revenge bcz he has the right to. Not just for the rape but also for the fact that Utsumi has feelings for him. If Utsumi doesn't have feelings for him, he would have just done a one-two- punch on the guy. I really don't know how weak Utsumi really is when Akamine attacked him. Like, did he go along with the rape bcz that was the closest or the only way he got to Akamine? And he was UPSET after the rape that Akamine rememberes NOTHING about the incident. Now that I'm talking with you about it, I think it's likely he "let" Akamine "rape" him probably bcz Akamine never took notice of him, and worst yet, after the fact, did NOT remember having done it. And he was still ignored. Etc. I am highly of the opinion that Utsumi isn't or wasn't as weak as he had seemed that he couldn't have fought off Akamine, or else it was the shock, or the fact he had been injured upon being thrown to the ground. Idk. The random act of violence? Makes no sense to me. His being a serial drunk rapist makes more sense to me.
Or maybe he was just of super human strength when he was drunk. Still doesn't explain the random act of violence.
It does feel like he cared more about being forgotten rather than being raped by Utsumi. Akamine definetly has a "peculiar mindset" of his own, which is the only way this story could've worked anyway, especially considering how the act of violence had basically NO motive behind it; so in this situation, for the victim to end up with the aggressor, the victim themselves also needed to not be in a good mental state while the whole event played out.
If Akamine didn't get so attached to him from the start, there's no way Ustumi wouldn't be in jail rn
But yeah, considering how this event was the main drive of the whole story, it's unfortunate that the author didn't try making it more fleshed out. I understand keeping the mistery at the start, since we're learning about it from Utsumi's perspective, but towards the end we really needed a better explanation to what happened that day, or it's gonna be hard rooting for Utsumi..
I'm of the opposite opinion... based on my first impression without re reading. Since it's been a long time since I've followed up. I actually love Utsumi's conflicted character. He loves Akamine but has to face the ugly truth his aggressor doesn't remember anything about him. And he did a lot behind the scenes to save Akamine. That part of the story (about the scheme, corruption, and making Akamine the fall-guy) didn't feel convincing to me in the LEAST bit. So there were two main plots following this storyline. None of this feels compelling. I give the story a B. For the story. (Nobody can argue the transcendental art here.) but the story feels like it's a dead piece of meat no matter how much you beat it it's still a slab of meat.
I meant the corruption at the work place.
Yeah... definetly immaculate art with a story that has some plotholes on important events..
