I feel like this is how you properly write a misunderstanding. So much of the time miscommunication comes across as annoying and pointless but I feel like this has a lot to teach the protagonist and only adds to the tension, doesn't stagnate the story. It's something I can imagine happening in real life since they haven't reached far into their relationship at all. I'm really liking the pacing of this one so far (although I hate waiting waaa)
