Really don't know how to deal with the feelings this piece produced in me...It brought up some really raw emotions that I had forgotten that I had buried a long time ago. And this is why it is so good. Any author that can provoke that kind of response in me has my respect! ***Spoiler*** Also, I really wanted to kill that grandmother in the hospital, but also thought that she did a sort of kindness, as he would have continued to suffer with the extent of the damage done to his body. I'm going to go and read a fluffy piece now so I can regain a sense of emotional composure.
