I'm also guessing since she knows the ending and will not fall in love with the emperor, he will probably fall for her, the chase begins, the heroine will show up, probably, with a shitty personality as well as a sense of entitlement and try to win the emperor's affection whilst slandering the FL.
Sounds about right and of course the empress to be will also know of her past life and the books contents.

That will give the author a couple of more chapters to really mess us up

These cheating plots. Well good for her for getting or accepting the divorce. I know that some people revel on these type of things but to be honest from the things I've seen and read regarding people who cheat: SH*T IS FAR FROM ROSY AND GETTING THORNS WOULD BE A REPRIEVE. I HOPE THE EMPEROR GETS WHAT HE DESERVES.
