Most of this author's work is pretty hit and miss. They seem to enjoy using typical JP BL stereotypes in their work. But this one got popular and they probably realized there's only so much BS you can drag out until you're force to do some ACTUAL character development.

I read Roses and Champagne where the Seme is unhinged AF and shot the Uke then gr@ped him. And somehow them getting together was more believable that whatever is going on here.
