I thought the story sounded familiar and it looks like I've read this novel already.
I gotta give props to the author. I've read some Japanese manga where, while tragic, it still felt that you were a spectator from the other side of the window.
This though, I felt the emotions in my bones. I'm impressed with some of the Chinese BL/manhua I read. Like "Somewhere in Time" or Mo Dao Zu Shi. They just feel so real somehow.
